Naked, barking people rampage through a stunned small town, police say

Last weekend got downright bizarre in the eastern Missouri town of Sullivan, and police say they know why.

Four people went on a rampage, barking and yelling, breaking into buildings, even stripping off their clothes and showering in soda water, police say. They suspect the synthetic drug flakka is behind the behavior.

“We had multiple incidents this past weekend of people on some kind of substance acting out of their minds,” Sullivan Police Lt. Patrick Johnson told the Sullivan Independent News. “Barking like dogs, running up and down the street, or other farm animals, entering people’s homes, breaking into a business, yelling outside of local businesses.”

Two people were arrested, and some of the users were treated at a hospital.

The drugs have not yet been tested, but police believe the users mixed methamphetamine with flakka, a manmade drug that has caused strange behavior in other places.

Last year, The Star reported that flakka was hitting hard in Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and other parts of the country and that police were worried that it would spread to Missouri and Kansas City. It was causing a rash of emergency room visits and overdose deaths.

In one highly publicized Florida case, a man reportedly high on flakka gnawed on and disfigured another man’s face before he was shot to death by police. Another user tried to break down the door of a police station in Fort Lauderdale, and a few weeks later, a man impaled himself while trying to climb a fence around the same station.

Also known as alpha-PVP, flakka has a similar chemical makeup to other drugs commonly known as “bath salts,” according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

It typically comes in a white or pink crystalline form and is foul-smelling.

Oh, it’s drugs.
The headline makes it sound as if it’s your routine anti-Trump demonstration.

DMT has made a comeback

Without too much elaboration I was around a mid 20s lad last month who was 3 hours post DMT trip

He was still wrecked but carrying on how great the 45 minute peak had been

Even as a former LSD Test pilot I felt ashamed for him as a parent if he’d been mine

DMT is very dangerous is my take on it

It could make folks howl and strip off their clothes

Sounds like the case in Alberta, Canada where naked people abducted a family and went on a joy ride... they claimed they had just had some tea one of them brought back from India.

Maybe it is a feel-good piece to show Californians that people in other states can act Californian, too.

That is what I thought! Like shouting at the sky! LOL!

This drug sounds really bad, though. The US seems to have a terrible drug problem, sorry to say.

“And that’s why we carry guns children.”

Only way to fly for flakka heads and angel dusters. They feel no pain and will not stop coming at you unless you blow them to pieces.

Mixed with meth, I imagine it would be like taking out a charging bear.

I always said the zombie apocalypse was possible and most likely it would be the result of chemical warfare

“DMT is very dangerous is my take on it. It could make folks howl and strip off their clothes”

Actually it’s impossible to do anything on a dose of pure DMT (it must be inhaled as a vapor. Anything else is not pure DMT). It forces the body into instant deep REM sleep for the duration of the trip.

I’ve witnessed hundreds of people try DMT in various overseas therapy groups and minutes after their trip they are normal and rested (never “wrecked”). What happens is they had slept extremely well and had an interesting dream. Sometimes that one dream is more profound and cleansing than a lifetime of normal therapy.

DMT is naturally released by the brain during deep sleep and is part of what causes dreams. Never have I witnessed or heard of side effects from pure DMT. Unless it’s done often enough every single day so as to disrupt natural sleep cycles. That’s extremely rare though and 99.9% of people have no desire to do it more than a few times in their lifetime.

There are various concoctions of oral DMT that must be taken with an MAOI. Traditionally this is known as “Ayuhuasca” and taken as a tea. However they now also take synthetic MAOIs (antidepressants) and mix into DMT to be used as a pill.

These mixtures are very dangerous to the brain, can lead to psychotic breakup and are even deadly for some people. This is most likely what that lad had taken since he felt anything hours later
