This obstructionism is unprecedented in American history. The question is, what are Mitch McConnell and the other alleged leaders of the Republican majority going to do about it?
Like many others, I have just about come to the conclusion that Congressional Republicans are worthless. Time is running out for McConnell and his colleagues to show us that our votes and our financial support for Republicans haven’t been wasted. And please: don’t lecture us on the hallowed traditions of the Senate. Those traditions have been blasted to smithereens by the Democrats. This is a war, Senator McConnell, and if you are not interested in fighting it, then we need to find someone who is.
Despite being in office for nearly a year, President Trump has been unable to staff his administration. In the early days, he was slow to make nominations–not surprisingly, given that he wasn’t surrounded by a cadre of former officials and government hangers-on. But that is no longer true. Now, the problem is that Senate Democrats are stalling Trump’s nominees. In one agency after another, they are carrying obstructionism to unprecedented lengths.
Take, for example, the Department of the Interior. Secretary Ryan Zinke has written a letter to Democrat Dick Durbin protesting the Democrats’ blockade of nominees to his department:
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke says Senate Democrats are holding the department’s nominees “hostage” to a political agenda that includes opposition to his review of presidentially designated monuments.
But it is the hostage situation that is taking place all across the federal bureaucracy. The Democrats consider federal agencies to be their rightful property, and they have no intention of allowing a Republican president to exercise the constitutional powers of his office.

No argument here. However, if McConnell should wake up some night with one if those epithinay thing’ies he would eliminate the senate filibuster rule and go to a simple majority rule. I positively guarantee that when the Dem’s gain the majority, and they will someday, that they will do it the first time they need it to pass some bill that’s important to them.

Why would he do anything? They are helping him and the GOPe in their attempts to destroy the Trump Administration. The open question is what are his Kentucky constituents telling him. We’d all better hope they are fixing to off him as soon as he comes up for re-election.

Mitch will go for the most logical and obvious solution- smear a Republican Senate candidate in his special election so Mitch's already narrow Senate majority margin gets even worse.
Apparently, in Mitch's view, you can never have too little political leverage
He will do nothing to help Trump unless faced with his personal life or death decision. We need video of him giving a blow job to a soldier during his brief stint in the military.

Are you serious? This is procedural treason and not a case of ignorance or ignoring the Democrat goals. No. This is Republican activism of NeverTrumpists, in our leadership.
Blockading the president, duly elected, is not doing nothing. The leadership needs to be sued for treason and removed from office.

believe you are correct. The longer Trump waits, the harder it will be to get anything passed. The GOPe and the Dems would already be scurrying and probably be “gone” if Trump has charges filed against key people on the left. All these people are in on the fun & games. They stole us blind. Now we need action.
Not strongly worded letters. Not Congressional Committees. No fact finding commissions. We need people to be arrested for the Treason they committeed. Everyone involved will fall in line. Every day makes this harder. McConnell will be the first to punt. He is involved to the hilt.

Violence, especially a civil war kind is just what they want. The aftermath of such an upheaval opens the door for a dictator or oligarch. That's their style of governing. ie: USSR 100 million dead and the Marxists reigned supreme, fancy cars, private planes and comfortable dachas in the resort areas.Don't kid yourselves.
