If You Refuse to Condemn Predators because of Politics, You’re Disgusting
National Review ^ | November 10, 2017 | by KATHERINE TIMPF

The allegations against Roy Moore are disgusting — and if you find yourself reluctant to say so because of your politics, then you’re pretty gross, too.

The Leigh Corfman story, reported by the Washington Post, is about so much more than just some older guy having a relationship with some younger girl. That, of course, would be bad enough — many girls haven’t even had their f***ing periods at age 14 — but this is also about a man who abuses his power to prey on the powerless. It’s about a respected district attorney finding a girl in a vulnerable position (waiting with her mother outside of a child-support hearing) and relishing in the opportunity to take advantage of it. It’s a sick story that is all too common, and one that will continue to be common if we refuse to speak out against it.

I believe that Roy Moore was a predator with a penchant for teenage girls. No, not because I’m some p***y-hat-wearing snowflake (as eloquent as that argument is) but because of logic. As my colleague David French notes, there are a lot of reasons to believe these allegations: There are multiple accusers. These women didn’t come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them. They have witnesses corroborating their stories. Finally, the woman with the most serious allegations, Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 — making the political-hit-job storyline laughable at best.

If you think there’s no way you know anyone personally who has been through something like this; you’re wrong again, and it’s time for people on all political sides to recognize reality: These men are everywhere, so are their victims, and those victims aren’t talking points for your partisan-hack gotcha tweets. They’re people.

You know I’m right.

Like I said, you can’t prove a negative.

The allegations are disgusting to read about and yet we have people making light of them.

Not sure they would feel the same way if their kids were in the picture.

Wait, what?!? For decades upon decades the leading Hollywood fundraiser and activist for the democrat party raped and molested and sexual harassed his way through Hollywood and EVERYONE knew about it. NBC news knew about it and killed the story. The NYC DA knew about it but failed to bring charges even though he was in possession of sizable evidence. The democrat party (the party of women’s rights) knew about it and eagerly took his money.

BUT that wasn’t politics, oh no.

Now, the second, millisecond really, that Judge Moore is accused of something he is to be condemned and abandoned. He is to be given the Duke Lacrosse treatment or treated like he was in a frat that committed an imaginary gang rape?

And if we don’t condemn him we are engaging in politics? But the opposite can’t possibly be true, right? It can’t be that his political opponents are cooking up fake accusations to smear him. Only one thing is plausible when you are accusing a non-member of the DC elite club (aka deplorable) of a crime. But make no mistake, the deplorable in this instance is not guilty of the crime they are accusing him of. The real crime we deplorables are all guilty of is not being globalist statists. The real crime is the we still think we have liberty when in the minds of our elitist overlords, we have none.

I might call Judge Moore an attempted cradle robber but nothing more than that.
As far as I can tell, when Judge Moore was a young man he asked a few women who were younger than him out for a date.
Hell, my wife of 42 years is 10 years younger than me, I don’t think that made me a sexual predator, then or now.
From what I have read about this incident there was no rape or attempted rape, just perhaps an attempted kiss.
All these people attacking Judge Moore should try to remember that these incidents (if true) took place back when a boy or man did not require a legal contract and twenty lawyers to kiss a girl he found attractive.
If that kiss was not enthusiastically returned you figured out pretty quick that it was time to move on.
It is my opinion that these allegations coming out just before the election of a man that the establishment really hates are just so much SWAMP WATER.
What are the Allegations:
1: As a young man Judge Moore tried to date younger women (pretty normal for a young male).
2: perhaps he found that some of these women did not meet his standards so he dumped them.
3: Perhaps now that he is running for a Senate seat they are pissed that he dumped them.
4: Perhaps they are now trying to torpedo him because they are pissed that they missed their chance.
5: All sounds like high school crap to me.
6: All sounds like made up high school crap to me.
I don’t believe the allegations against Judge Moore.
Even if I did believe them, I still don’t see what he did or didn’t do was wrong, just normal behavior of young MEN and WOMEN.
Wish I lived in ALABAMA so I could vote for Judge Moore.

Why didn’t you accord the benefit of the doubt to Weinstein and Spacey?

You didn’t demand due process for them. You chose to believe their victims.

But you sing a different tune when the accused sexual predator isn’t a liberal Democrat. Now we’re getting somewhere.

“his accusers didn’t come forward,. They were asked to tell the truth”.
You HAVE TO ASK the question: If the accusers didn’t come forward, HOW WERE THEY FOUND?
Did some super sleuth reporter canvas every woman in Alabama?
Or did they just make up some crap that fit in so well with the current hysteria going on about Hollyweird?

You know I’m right.

Actually, I categorically deny your claims.

You demean “presumption of innocence” to permit slander to go unchallenged.

The truth of the matter is you WANT the allegations to “stick,” so you’ve posed a rather adolescent polemic to condemn and cut off any defense of Moore. (Who does that sound like?)

I, for one, find your accusations against Moore’s defenders as heinous as the lengths the uniparty will go to throw his election.

Quote: “And don’t give me the innocence presumption defense BS. If Moore was a Democrat and the set of facts was exactly the same, you’d be pronouncing him guilty and unfit to hold office. When comes to sexual predation, we have a duty to be honest.”

You are being dishonest. Hypocrisy, oh, like Harvey Weinstein that leading fundraiser for the democratic party in Hollywood and his ilk. They had tape recorded evidence that he ACTUALLY raped a woman and a democrat DA and NBC tanked it. For decades this guy raped, molested and sexually harassed his way through Hollywood. The democrats KNEW it and accepted his money. He got decades of the benefit of the doubt.

Judge Moore gets not even a millisecond. Why is that? Why is it that there is not a shred of skepticism toward this story? Why is that we can’t even consider that in the age of phony Russian Dossiers we can’t even consider that this might be a hit job? Why can’t we even for a millisecond even consider that it is all too well timed.

Unfortunately for Moore’s opponents, Breitbart scooped the WaPo and forced them to launch this story five weeks before the election. I say unfortunately because this leaves the alternative media and Moore’s allies plenty of time to vet this story. If true, he is toast. If not true or it looks like a hit job then WHAT WILL PEOPLE LIKE YOU SAY THEN?

The sexual predator issue has bitten one party and one party in particular in the arse with devastating effect. That is the democrat party. Call me crazy but I smell a rat here. Seeing how this issue could be used, it was employed in the GOP proxy war between McConnell and Bannon.

Weinstein, behaved in such a way that it seemed to be common knowledge that he behaved poorly.

Where are women who were raped by Moore earlier this year, last year, two years ago? WHERE ARE THEY?

When Weinstein allegations came out dozens, yes DOZENS of women came out to complain about Weinstein. There was even a tape of him forcing himself on a woman.

Where are these women in Moore's case? Where are the tapes?

You are so wrong.

I hope a male you know gets accused falsely. Then you will think of me.

And why did the women wait 38 years to make the allegations?
Especially when Moore has been a huge target from leftists for decades. Not one came forward til now?
Sure. . .

Umm Spacey and Weinstein didn’t get the benefit of the doubt, really?!?! Weinstein was caught ON TAPE actually confessing. Yet, the NYC DA did not pursue the case and NBC news tanked the story. If that isn’t getting the benefit of the doubt, please tell me what is. Hollywood knew of and tolerated their behavior for decades upon decades. The democrat party knew of their conduct and eagerly accepted their money.

Weinstein and Spacey didn’t get the benefit of the doubt, they got IMMUNITY until finally their crimes could not be hidden anymore, even by their MSM and democrat party enablers.

Moore, he gets not even a millisecond of the benefit of the doubt.

I just wonder, Breitbart scooped the WaPo and forced them to bring this story out now, with weeks to go before Election Day. If this is a hit job, we are going to be able to find out about it. What will you say then, if it turns out to be a hit job and Moore has withdrawn from the race.

Google Ted Stevens, it has happened before. It is a favorite tool of the left to bring outlandish dirty tricks out of the bag. It seems Mr. McConnell also is adopting the left’s toolbox. But what am I saying, its not like anyone would do something like pay for a dossier that says Moore had prostitutes pee on a bed his opponent had slept in or something. Oh, wait.

My questions about this:

1. Is there any evidence to place the alleged victims in the vicinity of Moore during the alleged incidents? Were they in the same place at the same time?

2. Why were these accusations not brought up before, for example, when Moore was running for - or nominated for - judge?

3. Do any of the alleged victims have activist ties to the Democratic Party?

4. Why does Katherine Timpf not ask any of these pertinent questions, but just assumes guilt?

No proof and timing is suspicious. There has been ample opportunity to make these accusation and they were never made. Curious. People are innocent until proven guilty.

There have been multiple occasions in which these accusations could have been made when Senator Moore was being taken out over states rights but nooooooooo! This is the time. There is no blue dress. There is no way to prove the accusers accounts. Do people not see this as nothing other than GOPe attempt to pitch their fit at spending 5 million to get one of their own elected and failing?

Honestly if Big Luther Strange was smart he would defend Senator Moore vigorously because Senator Shelby will retire soon. Big Luther could pick up some street cred with the electorate if he would man up. He won’t because he is a Mitch/Mcain little bitch. Disgusting how so many fall for this theater of power and money.

"These women didn’t come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them.

So how did the press find who to ask?"

Don't bother Timpf with logic, she's a libertarian, and they can barely squeeze one idea into their head at a time.

My question is this, why do people like Ms Timpf want to shut us down from even asking the questions? Why do they want to use the usual censorship techniques to shut us up?

Could it be that this case is so damn flimsy as to not stand scrutiny. Ms. Timpf, maybe you need a safe space.

"Kat is a simpleton. I revile this little _itch. Can’t stand to watch her on FOX or anywhere else."

And she is suddenly very prudish for someone who always tries to draw public attention to her love life. She is the weak link on the Gutfeld show; her humor is lame, and her comments lack any particular cogency.
