Skip to comments.Country Star Faith Hill: NRA Needs to ‘Tell the Truth’ on Guns
Posted on 11/10/2017 5:27:52 AM PST by davikkm
In an interview for Billboard magazine, country singer Faith Hill spoke out in favor of gun control and said it is time for the NRA to tell the truth about guns. Speaking about last months Las Vegas mass shooting, in which guns were used illegally to kill innocent concert-goers, Hill referenced the doctors who treated those wounded in the attack, saying: The doctors that [treated] the wounded, they saw wounds like youd see in war. Thats not right. Military weapons should not be in the hands of civilians. Its everyones responsibility, including the government and the National Rifle Association, to tell the truth.
We all want a safe country, the Wild One singer added.
Her husband, Tim McGraw, reasserted his support for common sense gun control during the same interview, saying, Look, Im a bird hunter I love to wing-shoot. However, there is some common sense thats necessary when it comes to gun control.

Never liked them anyway.
Shut up and sing!
Her and her bald headed husband are well known liberal democrats.
Okay. Here’s some truth, Ma’am.
Guns don’t kill people.
People kill people.
How the hell are there sooo many Liberal Country Music Superstars?
You are in a lot more danger from your "redistributionist" government than you are from crazies with guns.
Right now the country music community is pissed due to it happening on their turf....Aldean’s concert. Once the emotion is gone, they will get back to reality. If they are still talking this way in a year, then I will quit listening to country music. So far, I haven’t heard much more then these two saying anything like this.
Faith, the NRA isn’t the group that needs to tell the truth about guns, it’s the gun control lobby. Oh, and knowing something about guns before you open your mouth helps! Gotta go, Amazon just delivered my chainsaw bayonet for the automatic AR-15 I bought without a background check through the gun show loop hole. Had ya going there, didn’t I, Faith?...
Truth about guns?
#1 No firearm ever shot anyone!
Crazyies and criminals shoot people.
Since most shooters are already breaking 4 or 5 laws, does anyone really think another law will stop them?
How many Chicago Black on Black shootings have laws stopped?
That is truth!
She needs to learn the truth. Generally we are not able to easily obtain “military weapons”. You would be hard pressed to find AR-15s in the military.
Nitwits . Shut up and sing.
Faith has been a big liberal for years.

Spoken like a true “Golfer with a gun”. Yes, someone shot with a shotgun is far better. Oh, by the way, a shotgun is “a weapon of war” too using your idiotic argument.
The 2nd Amendment ain’t about bird hunting.
Country music became big corporate business a long time ago and that’s why the singers are being corralled into political “correctness”.
My guess is:
a) law of averages
b) trying to curry favor with MSM, Hollywood to become more than just country singers
Tell that to their armed body guards.
We already have all the laws we need on the books. What happens, as in this last shooting, is the fact that someone did not follow the laws. Outlawing guns is not the answer. Making sure everyone knows what the laws are and follows them is the answer. Someone who knew the laws and knew how to shoot is what brought the situation to a close.
If they feel so strongly about it, have them come to my house and take them away.
Our maybe they’ll petition the government to do it, like all the other cowards and suggest sending innocent police officers to do it.
Do they want a war ? Because this is how you start wars.
Actually I think the Geneva Convention wanted to ban shotguns from use in wars.
Bet his bodyguard never missed a paycheck
