Roy Moore: Alabama Senate candidate denies child sex abuse
bbc ^ | November 9, 2017

An Alabama candidate for the US Senate is strongly denying allegations that he sexually abused a 14-year-old girl.

Roy Moore, a Republican firebrand, said claims that he preyed on a teenager while he was a 32-year-old prosecutor were "completely false".

Leigh Corfman and three other women say Mr Moore made sexual advances on them when they were between the ages of 14 and 18, the Washington Post reports.

The top Senate Republican said Mr Moore must step aside if the claims are true.

Mr Moore, who is now 70, said in a statement to the Post: "These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign."

The Christian conservative's team said in another statement about the allegations, "this garbage is the very definition of fake news and intentional defamation".

"Judge Roy Moore has endured the most outlandish attacks on any candidate in the modern political arena, but this story in today's Washington Post alleging sexual impropriety takes the cake," its statement added.

“Moore states he can’t prove molestation accusations false, says accuser might have evidence.”

Even more likely from the media would be:

“Moore States He Can’t Prove Molestation Accusations False, Says Accuser Must Have Evidence.”

(”Must” — not the way he meant it, but that’s good enough for them to get the headline before the LVI’s eyes.)

I have a hunch this is not the “left” but some factions in the GOP. The GOPe is afraid of this guy. McConnell and friends were very quick to pounce.

“Notice the smear headline.”

Yep.

As in:

“Trump Denies Having Kicked Puppies in 2009 Before a Reunion of Hitler Youth”

It’s all about the headline, not the facts.

If the age of consent was 14 at the time, (think it’s that in Mexico) that should be brought out. Anytime you see a posting here and if you can link the source send that to these yapping talk show hosts. So at least they mention it.

I’m listening to Hannity right now and he’s giving that pass. Probably because he doesn’t know it. Many wont mention it if they know it because they don’t agree with allowing that being an age of consent.

The only way this nonsense stops, imo, is if women come out accusing dems. There are plenty of dems who have harassed women, no doubt. But this is not even a sexual assault claim. The girl was 14? Where were the parents? Times were different back then.

Like many women, back in the 70’s and 80’s, men made advances and said inappropriate sexual things to me. I would never come out and try to destroy their careers because of something that was said or done 35 or 40 years ago. I didn’t like it but had never even heard the term sexual harassment in those days. It didn’t make it right, it was just different. Ridiculous.

Sure enough. Look what repetition of a paid liar tried to do to Thomas Jefferson. Forming the basis of an entire effort in re: Sally Hemings. The genetic basis for said claim unfounded- but this was the “press” rags of that day, complete with fabrication and hearsay. Not much has changed.

Judge Moore was Chief Justice of the AL Supreme Court. Can’t have a powerful member of a State make it to the globalist’s boy’s club.

The “hitlery” white democrat machine vote— yellow dog democrats— the actual country club “klan”. But, if they have a shred of belief in Christ— they shouldn’t be fooled by this federal “teat” welfare advocate vs. a good man.

“If Roy Moore was in the habit of dating underage teen girls as a grown man, he had no business running for senate.”

Says the guy who posts pics of Taylor Swift with her butt cheeks hanging out on a conservative, Christian, pro-family website. And comments on how he likes that.

Do you like living in a post-Christian, leftwing nation where it is the duty of every young girl to make themselves sexually available for you to leer over and gratify yourself with?

If I had a teenage or twenty-year-old family member, I would feel very confident about their safety in the Moore’s home. But not so much in yours.

Maybe your smug, dismissive, self-righteous, hypocritical comments supporting the enemy aren’t so helpful.

"For Mitch McConnell, these kinds of dirty tricks against conservative Tea Party candidates is nothing new. Remember Mississippi, where Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel was viciously smeared as a racist by the GOP establishment in 2014, in order to keep sleepy and incoherent RINO stooge Thad Cochran in power."

I just made a modest contribution to Judge Moore's campaign. A lot of people doing this will show him grass roots support.

Here's a link to his campaign web site donation page: Stand with Judge Moore

They did something similar to Trump with a parade of women making allegations.

In the meantime we have a Dem senator, Robert Menendez, in the process of being convicted and no Dem is saying he should step down even if convicted.
