I was in Manhattan last Thursday and was amazed by how many cops I saw with "NYPD Counter Terrorism" boldly displayed on their jackets/shirts.I saw them in midtown (near Penn Station) and down in the Financial District.

I wonder if they were out in such force in the days/hours before the attack of a week or so ago.
