Making so much noise, he’s begging for it. Should have just faded into the background. Constantly reminding people of your misdeeds then asking for a medal for them? Amazing lack of awareness. Someone’s gonna snap on him.

Some body might have an old rusty M1 bayonet, they would donate to pin any medal on this traitor!

and then theres our American soldiers who were guests in the Hanoi Hilton...

Note: Why didn’t Obama award Bow Wow this medal ???

Sadly, not gonna happen.

Why not? Bergdahl “served with honor & distinction”. Seems no careerist in the DOD chain of command has the balls to stop this PC nonsense.

...he wants him to receive the Prisoner of War medal.

"medal" = metal... copper jacketed lead.

7.62, .50 cal or 9mm?

While I agree with Max on this one, I am pretty sure he is a good example of what happens when things get just a little out of control.

Can’t have it.

Public Law Title 32, 578.22 states under section 4 that any person convicted of misconduct or a criminal charge by a U.S, military tribunal, or who has received less than an honorable discharge based upon actions while a prisoner of war, or whose conduct was not in accordance with the Code of Conduct, and whose actions are documented by U.S, military records, is ineligible for the Prisoner of War Medal.

He was lucky not to get jail time. They should have taken the prize and walked. He may have to get a new name just to keep his teeth where ever he goes for the rest of his life. (No matter how short it may be)

I thought a DD meant the person was discharged right then..

hes staying in for at least 10 months for that the American taxpayer families of the men who died and were wounded have to contribute to paying his $10,000 fine..

meanwhile he gets promotions and pay raises ???

Get a load of the douchebag lawyer’s wife- a regular bleedingheart :

She reports on the Supreme Court so I’m sure that had something to do with the judge’s screwy descision.

The lead defense attorney for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl said he wants him to receive the Prisoner of War medal.

I also have to wonder if this isn’t **a deliberate insult** to the US military-at-large by the “civilian lawyer”.

And people wonder why lawyers are held is such low regard.
