Two male, liberal columnists this week launched personal attacks against White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.
Los Angeles Times columnist David Horsey mocked Sanders’ appearance, saying she “looks more like a slightly chunky soccer mom who organizes snacks for the kids’ games.”
“Rather than the fake eyelashes and formal dresses she puts on for news briefings, Sanders seems as if she’d be more comfortable in sweats and running shoes,” Horsey wrote on Wednesday. “Yet, even if Trump privately wishes he had a supermodel for a press secretary, he is lucky to have Sanders.”
Another columnist, the New York Times’ Frank Bruni, similarly went out of his way on Friday to bash Sanders for her personal characteristics, in this case her way of speaking.
Bruni wrote that Sanders is “serving a function other than communication, which turns out not to be her forte.”
“To listen to her pronounce ‘priorities’ is akin to hearing the air seep out of a flat tire, and she leaves half of the consonants on the curb,” Bruni added parenthetically, mocking Sanders for her Southern accent.
Horsey apologized for his description of Sanders in an update to his column following this article’s publication.
“I want to apologize to Times readers — and to Sarah Huckabee Sanders — for a description that was insensitive and failed to meet the standards of our newspaper. It also failed to meet the expectations I have for myself. It surely won’t be my last mistake, but this particular error will be scrupulously avoided in my future commentaries. I’ve removed the offending description,” Horsey said.
The two socialist columnists who so rudely insulted her are far below her and deserve no response except for the flaming they are about to receive on discussion boards like Free Republic. Have at it, Freepers!
[And by the way, I'm a man. And even in my later years, young women like to gaze at me. I would certainly return a cordial smile and kind expression to Sarah, if I'd never seen her before.]

That says a lot more about them than it does about her.
Sarah is scrappy. I like scrappy.
I really respect her abilities, and to the extent you can from TV, like her as a person. She is very genuine and honest and I have said many times her training as a mom has probably been most valuable, since her job entails basically dealing with children and bullies.
Their snide comments about Sarah are disgusting on so many levels. I think Sarah is brilliant, incisive, incredibly witty, and with great finesse she dissects her MSM enemies at every turn. Such talent should not unwatched go.
She has been putting these immature, shallow, feckless, zit faced propagandist clowns in their place since day one - kicking butt and taking names. Me like.

And Sarah’s voice is pleasant, too—not too southern twangy or northern twangy at all. And oh, yes, there’s a northern twang in some northern folks (_O_ in Wisconsin sounds almost like a hard _A_ that cuts through the brain). Sarah’s voice is soothing.
Frank Bruni is gay.
These two lefties are getting in their snide “war on women” remarks against Sanders because the lefties have not been able to get the upper hand against her in press briefings. She never retreats and, in give-and-take, gives more than she takes. The lefties are frustrated at that and hence use their typical personal attacks: Sanders is a rustic from fly-over country, not cosmopolitan savants like they are.

Actually, yes. Woman’s lib/NOW was never meant to help or enhance women. It was/is only another tool against white males, strong families and Christiandom. A social Marxist tool. Overall, women are less happy and fulfilled than before. They tat and pierce and drink and curse and sleep around to fill that hole. IMHO, natch.
