Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock lost money in 2 years preceding shooting
Las Vegas Review-Journal ^ | November 2, 2017 | Blake Apgar

Gunman Stephen Paddock lost a large amount of wealth in the two years before the Oct. 1 shooting on the Strip, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said in an interview with a local television station.

Lombardo told KLAS-TV, Channel 8, that Paddock’s wealth fluctuated because of gambling, real estate transactions and “everything else that he chose to do.” Paddock lost a large amount of money after September 2015, the sheriff said.

Lombardo speculated that the financial losses might have contributed to Paddock’s decision to spray a country music festival with bullets, killing 58 people and injuring more than 500 others.

“I think that might have a determining factor on what he determined to do,” Lombardo said in the interview, which aired Wednesday night.

Later, Lombardo said, “If you look at the numbers that he did gamble, he was pretty prolific, but he was going in the wrong direction, so I don’t know if that had any effect on what he decided to do.”

Lombardo could not be reached Thursday by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The sheriff told Channel 8 that Paddock was concerned with his status in casinos and with friends and family. “Obviously, that was starting to decline in a short period of time, and that may have a determining effect on why he decided to do what he did,” Lombardo said. He said authorities have not determined a clear motive for the shooting.

Investigators also have not been able to pinpoint a moment in Paddock’s life that would have led him to amass dozens of weapons since October 2016, he said. “I actually hope we find something in the pathology of his brain that will help us understand this,” Lombardo said.

Paddock’s brain tissue was sent to Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Pathology for a neuropathological examination, Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg said in the weeks after the shooting.

I know that. I’m describing the statements made about him by his own family members.

This information would have been obvious and would have come out quickly. I don’t believe it for one second. It is a poor excuse of trying to create a motive because they are covering up what is really going on.

I suspect this is TWA800 all over again...

to let the public know that islamists could easily rent a room in a high rise and pick off dozens of people would be detrimental not only to all of Vegas but the entire entertainment industry.

the "targeted" venues might just be an embellishment on the part of the fibs.....who knows how many high rise hotels this guy stayed at....unless he ONLY stayed in high rise hotels over looking music festivals...which I doubt....

afterall, we've all been told paddick was a "player" and "rich" etc...

is the sheriff trying to knock this headline down?
(yes, I know most of the links are Daily Mail but I’m feeling lazy today, sorry)

or how about this one?http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5044307/Vegas-sheriff-Marilou-Danley-hiding-something.html
(who put the 13 on the picture, Marilou? it was your photo, right?)

or maybe this one?

and then there was Bruce:

His lawyer argued he should be released to the nursing home at a bond hearing. Somehow, he’s out in public breaking into buildings again. Who posted his bail?:

(can’t find it right now, but there’s an article prior to the above that goes into how Bruce sat with one of the residents after the Vegas shooting and composed an apology letter to the victims, denouncing his brother Stephen. The resident said they contacted the local news station but the station wouldn’t read it on air. )

Bruce as a master of disguise and Stephen as emergency contact:

here’s a current photo of Bruce at his hearing, down in the article a bit:

For one thing why would he turn his rage towards innocent people,...

Because, other people meant nothing to him. He was just looking for maximum effect. ( and he found it. )

From Tucker Carlson interview 11/03, Craig Allen a lawyer for the families points out that there were supposed to be all kinds of exits at the concert but that the exits were blocked. Another piece of information is that Allen says that there were two other off duty police officers from MGM on the floor responding to Campos, prior to the shooting, which he claimed towards the very end of the interview.

I work at one of the largest gun stores in the nation.

I had many guys buying multiples of higher end stuff such as Seekins in hopes they would quickly double their money when Hillary won.

Ummm...if you laundered a very large amount of money, you could then show a large loss, which would only be a fraction of what you actually “cleaned” in the process.

Oh my gosh, this whole line of reasoning is making me SICK.

THE BIGGEST MASS SHOOTING IN HISTORY and they are examining his brain and his poker losses. What about all the wild inconsistencies in the stories in the media, the strangest stories about the security guards, the lack of video for the public to see paddock bringing in his weapons, the audio of two distinct patterns of shots fired? Just get the actual facts straight before blaming paddock alone.

"I bet he spent north of $50K. He was betting Hilliary would win. She would implement a weapons ban"

Nope. Investment firearms are worth more when never fired, yet Paddock was practicing with all of them.

Nice try, though!

Gamblers don’t invest. He was looking to sell them at twice the price after the Hilliary win.

https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/homicides/radio-traffic-released-by-fire-department-captures-chaos-of-las-vegas-shooting-audio/

There is a link to the full audio from Clark County Fire. I haven’t listened to the whole thing yet but they are holding their narrative. From the article linked above.

“False reports
Tensions were heightened early on by reports of a man wearing military fatigues and carrying a black duffel bag.

And more than two hours after the shooting started, Fire Department employees were still receiving erroneous reports of more shots being fired inside McCarran International Airport and other resorts, including New York-New York, MGM Grand, Tropicana Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resort, Caesars Palace and Hooters Hotel.

Cassell said the reports of additional shooters likely were caused by injured concertgoers fleeing into nearby casinos for safety. He believes people already inside those buildings thought the injured had been shot there.
Overall, Cassell praised his first responders for their level-headed reaction to the historic tragedy.”

I don’t buy his explanation of why people thought there was shooting at other locations (injured people there.) People HEARD gunfire.

It is a valid point that injured people started showing up in hotels, and maybe the airport (if they were planning on flying home right after the show). But there are so many weird “facts” about this shooting that it is one of the many cruel lies of our “media” that there is not allowed any public curiosity on this event.

IF WE DONT STUDY THIS AND GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT, LIKE HISTORY, WE ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT.

I don’t trust our “media”. The interview with the Sheriff that came out this week was interesting, especially the part where he is just appalled at all the conspiracy theories. Unfortunately he hasn’t given the public any actual evidence so we are left with theories.

Usually photos of the suspect are released to the public so that the public can assist in getting to the bottom of the WHY DID THIS HAPPEN. The authorities refuse to show any photos/footage of this suspect other than the original blurry eyes closed photo. WHY?

It would be normal and essential to show the public the closed circuit cameras of him bringing in the multiple weapons.

Perhaps, but usually they target the people/places that caused them their grief. The fact that it may have happened in this hotel really does not impact the establishment. But it is possible you are correct. I’m not discounting it, I just do not think this may be it.
