Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock lost money in 2 years preceding shooting
Las Vegas Review-Journal ^ | November 2, 2017 | Blake Apgar

Gunman Stephen Paddock lost a large amount of wealth in the two years before the Oct. 1 shooting on the Strip, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said in an interview with a local television station.

Lombardo told KLAS-TV, Channel 8, that Paddock’s wealth fluctuated because of gambling, real estate transactions and “everything else that he chose to do.” Paddock lost a large amount of money after September 2015, the sheriff said.

Lombardo speculated that the financial losses might have contributed to Paddock’s decision to spray a country music festival with bullets, killing 58 people and injuring more than 500 others.

“I think that might have a determining factor on what he determined to do,” Lombardo said in the interview, which aired Wednesday night.

Later, Lombardo said, “If you look at the numbers that he did gamble, he was pretty prolific, but he was going in the wrong direction, so I don’t know if that had any effect on what he decided to do.”

Lombardo could not be reached Thursday by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The sheriff told Channel 8 that Paddock was concerned with his status in casinos and with friends and family. “Obviously, that was starting to decline in a short period of time, and that may have a determining effect on why he decided to do what he did,” Lombardo said. He said authorities have not determined a clear motive for the shooting.

Investigators also have not been able to pinpoint a moment in Paddock’s life that would have led him to amass dozens of weapons since October 2016, he said. “I actually hope we find something in the pathology of his brain that will help us understand this,” Lombardo said.

Paddock’s brain tissue was sent to Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Pathology for a neuropathological examination, Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg said in the weeks after the shooting.

And, we are told, the casino hotel had no CCTV footage of the corridors in the floor where Paddock stayed ... er ... wow.

Let’s not forget he had supposedly targeted other venues before that but, for some reason didn’t follow through...

The media refuses to connect ISS to this action when early on they claimed responsibility. By doing so they’re protecting followers to the point they deny it exists. Yet one never hears condemnation from so called moderates every time these atrocities occur.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ISIS CLAIM ???
The media coverage on this is truly bizarre. Here you have the “Muzzi” ISIS claiming involvement showing up everywhere in the UK press but gets buried here in the US..Wether or not a connection to Paddock can be made that claim gives us an opportunity to examine their justifications to commit atrocities.

Why wont they ? Perhaps it’s because according to their codex known as Sharia the actions taken by Paddock has been sanctioned by Almighty God.

Until the refusal to assail the theological assertions made in the moslem codex known as shari law is removed and at least questioned using this approach. Which acknowledges the existence of God

And oondemned. There will never be any cease fire.

He had complained about music from another room below him a couple of nights before the shooting. If the floors and walls can’t stop the sound I doubt if the windows would either.

...he made millions each of the past few years from gambling...

If he made millions each year gambling it wasn't at one or even a few casinos. Gamblers who make a killing (no pun intended) with any consistency are routinely banned from the casino..

“He obviously knew something about Hillary. :)”

The surest and safest way to murder somebody in politics is to let the word get out that he has dirt on Hillary and will testify next Tuesday. (You need to give them about seven days as they probably have to bring somebody in from overseas.) He’ll die while cleaning his gun or even lifting weights in his living room. Possibly, he’ll commit suicide in a park.

The noise??? Be real, this was planned well in advance. He did not just get pissed about concert noise one night and open fire. He chose to massacre concertgoers for some reason(s) as yet undetermined, and he had to spend significant time preparing such an attack.

Honestly from the start of this I expected to see damn near full movies of ALL comings and goings in the shooter hotel and on the shooter floor. “They’ll have this tied up in a matter days” with the truly over the top number of cctv cameras thought I. In the absence of that footage I can not believe anything I hear. No reason to actually...

[It is impossible to believe that Paddock made loads of money over the years as a “professional gambler” playing video poker, as has been asserted in the MSM many times now.]

I agree. He was laundering money. The only questions left are 1) Where did the money come from? and 2) was he radicalized and by whom?

For years I pull up at convenience stores to often spend $10 or less. I’m often seeing $50,000 vehicles with $3,000 to $4,000+ of custom rims and tires on them.

And the guys driving them often don’t look like rocket scientists.

I bought a vehicle for just over 1/2 of that when I had a really decent income (my single income exceeded the average household income of the city for 2 people). I sure didn’t have a $50,000 vehicle.

Make me think there’s a “side business” going on like what you describe. A “side business” or two. Or three.

He figured out he couldn’t make money at video poker anymore and decided to go out in a blaze of “glory.”

There should be a boycott Vegas movement until the video tapes are released by the Hotel and or the FBI and we get some answers.

“Make me think there’s a “side business” going on like what you describe.”

I often see a fifty-plus thousand dollar car, or cars, parked in front of a beat-up double wide. I think that just about anybody can buy a car. Chances are they won’t keep it long. A couple of my young renters who work at Walmart got married, then bought two new, though modest, cars. The wife told me, “Oh, my! We were shocked that first month when we had to make the payments.” It was all I could do not to display my surprise. Didn’t they even ask how much the payments were? Apparently, not. They certainly hadn’t added up the two together. BTW, I was renting them a singlewide.

" Stephen Paddock lost a large amount of wealth in the two years "

What the h&!! kind of "Accountant" looses that kind of money gambling in a Casino?
Seems to me that an Accountant knows the odds are with the Casino.
