Inside Story: How Russians Hacked the Democrats' Emails
US News & World Report ^ | November 3, 2017 | By RAPHAEL SATTER, JEFF DONN and CHAD DAY

WASHINGTON (AP) — It was just before noon in Moscow on March 10, 2016, when the first volley of malicious messages hit the Hillary Clinton campaign.

The first 29 phishing emails were almost all misfires. Addressed to people who worked for Clinton during her first presidential run, the messages bounced back untouched.

Except one.

Within nine days, some of the campaign's most consequential secrets would be in the hackers' hands, part of a massive operation aimed at vacuuming up millions of messages from thousands of inboxes across the world.

” It was just before noon in Moscow on March 10, 2016, when the first volley of malicious messages hit the Hillary Clinton campaign.”

Ahhh... the CIA’s “Umbrage” program as described in vault 7 of Wikileaks. Collect tools from hackers worldwide. Add a few Cyrillic letters in the program. Launch cyber attacks during normal business hours of the country you want to blame.

IE... “It was just before noon in Moscow on March 10, 2016, when the first volley...”

This is just a modern Gulf of Tonkin, a modern USS Maine, a modern Belgian babies, a modern Kuwaiti babies thrown from incubators. Total BS.

Fake News

Agreed. Fake news. As soon as I read the "Trump boasting about sexually assaulting women" line I stopped reading. More Fake News. Trump said that women will let you do anything you want when you're a celebrity, not that he did. Big difference.

Since I didn't continue reading, I don't know if the story ever got to the issue of Podesta's use of simplistic credentials, or his not changing his credentials after they had been publicly exposed. It seems like that would be an important part of any story about "hacking".

Fantasy news reporting, and that’s being kind.

The info from Podesta and the DNC was leaked by WikiLeaks. Nobody is denying this. However the process that the information was obtained and released to WikiLeaks is in dispute. There is no ‘Political Damage’ to someone, or even a government obtaining the emails. No, it is clearly the release of said emails that had a political impact.

What I am trying to say is, the emails may have been obtained from multiple times, but the time that really matters politically is the one that lead to the WikiLeaks release. The Russians, the North Koreans, the Iranians, private Hackers, CIA using software to look like the Russians could have penetrated to the information. So, looking like the Russians means absolutely NOTHING, because it’s potentially an electronic cover your tracts anyway. Even then, so what if it was the Russians if they didn’t disseminate the information.

The key here is who gathered the Information and then gave it to WikiLeaks. That has already partially been settled. The time stamps on the download prove it wasn’t an ‘internet’ download or a remote hack (like the Russians). Too fast for internet, so it was downloaded locally. That means at the server or computer directly linked to it. So the individuals WERE there in the building. That entirely kills the false narrative of this article, demonstrates it as a attempt to confuse people, and deceive them from the reality. FAKE NEWS, or they need to say that they believe the Russians hackers were in the building doing this.

So, what we got here is an inside job. Inside the building. Further, not a single ‘stolen’ document has a date after the death of Seth Rich. What the author describes here is liberal fantasy, the Russians did it, because all evidence points to a DNC insider, who was unable to download at the server, anymore information nearly the same time as the death of Seth Rich.

Finally, with the current information that the Russians only want conflict and chaos, disclosing this information gives them a motive. The Russians supporting Hillary stuff after the election proves that they were interested in discord, not a Trump victory, and the emails provided that. However, based upon statements, Seth Rich was motivated by justice and a Jesuit moral code. Further, Seth was a Bernie supporter. Armed with this information, all parties above had motive to expose the DNC and Podesta, but the Russians would have included emails of Bernie and other parties on the server, while Seth Rich would not have.

Notice the phrasing of the title: “the Democrats’ Emails”. It’s meant to imply the DNC hack, but this article has nothing whatsoever to do with the DNC hack, it’s about the Podesta hack, which we all know was a common phishing operation.

This is the most unbelievable steaming pile I have ever seen from the Swamp. The authors must think their readers all have IQs below 10.

Not one new piece of evidence presented, same ole same ole innuendo and bovine scatology.

Opening line . . .

WASHINGTON (AP) — It was just before noon in Moscow on March 10, 2016, when the first volley of malicious messages hit the Hillary Clinton campaign.

No further evidence in the article the relevance of that opening line. Coulda said it was just before noon in Tahiti . . . . Only one purpose behind that opening line. Fake news

Much more innuendo throughout the article, some already discredited. Just another hit piece full of misinformation and disinformation by three clowns David Satter, Jeff Donn and Chad Day

[Here I am posting before reading the thread.]

I think it’s a proud tradition for many of us.

Was it Laz who said “Proudly posting without reading the article since 1999!”?

Maybe I got the wrong guy.
