They just took it down, but there was a banner atop the NT Times front page that said, "Breaking News. The White House has stated they believe humans cause global warning."

I kid you not.

White House Backs Report at Odds With Its Climate Stance

By LISA FRIEDMAN 26 minutes ago

A report from 13 federal agencies says humans are the main cause of global warming, a position at odds with some in the Trump administration.

So some overzealous headline writer was overruled by an editor.

"Breaking News. The White House has stated they believe humans cause global warming."

And so what if we do, even if it's just a little bit?

The problems not whether or not industrialization on a massive scale produces pollutants than can affect the climate. The message that conservatives have failed to communicate is why does every supposed "solution" to global warming require both a.) massive transfer of wealth to Third World dictators and b.) handicapping U.S. industry with rules that only we have to comply with while the the rest of the world (China and India in particular) can play catch up?

Liberals say, "Humans cause global warming!" Conservatives should respond, "So what? Don't worry about it."

I guess those scientists figured that human body temp. is 98.6 times a bunchabillion people equals a hundred bajillion degrees. Yep, that’ll warm things up a bit.

Thanks.

Here’s an excerpt

WASHINGTON — The Earth is experiencing the warmest period in the history of civilization and humans are the dominant cause of the temperature rise that has occurred since the start of the 20th century, according to an exhaustive scientific report unveiled Friday by 13 federal agencies. The report was approved by the White House, but it directly contradicts much of the Trump administration’s position on climate change.

I like to think of it as delaying the next Ice Age.

Remember during the 1970s when the fear was global cooling caused by all the potion particles in the air? Well, we fixed it! Now we're enjoying the success of our sacrifices.

Seriously, so the world is warming up. Ok, fine. I'll play that game. How is this necessarily bad?

“an exhaustive scientific report unveiled Friday by 13 federal agencies”

Breaking news, there is incontrovertible evidence that at least 13 federal agencies need to be fired.

If we have 13 agencies involved in climate studies, we have a least 12 agencies too many.

FTA

Yet none of those agencies nor the White House moved to stop the report’s publication, and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy signed off on the final release, despite fear among some scientists involved in the research that the Trump administration would block it or seek to water it down.
