April Ryan to Huckabee Sanders: Does administration 'think slavery is wrong?'
By Joe Concha - 10/31/17 04:54 PM EDT
CNN contributor and American Urban Radio Networks reporter April Ryan on Tuesday asked White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders if the administration believed "slavery is wrong."
The question at the end of the Tuesday briefing comes one day after White House chief of staff John Kelly stated in a Fox News interview that the Civil War happened in part because of "a failure to compromise" between the North and South.
"Does this administration think that slavery is wrong?" Ryan asked after Sanders had already left the podium.
Sanders did not respond to Ryan's question, which was among several shouted to the press secretary as she exited the James S. Brady briefing room.
Ryan took to Twitter afterward to confirm she asked the question, adding "there were crickets!" because Sanders didn't respond.

“That is such a stupid question that it does not dignify an answer. Next.,”
That’s what I think too... “Hey, come up here a second... let me see your press pass... security, show this reporter the door. Next question?”
With credit to Dan Akroyd.......”April, you ignorant sl&t”
Should’ve said “not since he became a Republican. “
Maybe the reporter should be asking Democrats about this since they were the ones who wanted to perpetuate it.
History is not for the weak of mind, idiots ... So stupid is vogue???
April Ryan has the IQ of a turnip.
April, when did you lesbian lover stop beating you?
April is a seething mass of collosal ignorance.
Soooooo very fitting where she is.
They know nothing of history. There was more to that war than just slavery.
They think the whole damn thing revolved around slavery???
Has she ever heard of “state rights”? Go find an old history book, beotch, and read it...oh, wait....you have to know how to read first....sorry.
The stupidity of the those in the media today is beyond amusing.
CNN lead story next day: "Republican Party says bring back slavery"
Miss Ryan...when Neil Armstrong planted the American flag on Mars he said....
First, define “slavery”.
That, sir, is an insult to turnips! ;)
I think she meant “was wrong” not “is wrong”
One implies a current event and the other implies a past event.
If I am not mistaken, slavery is in the past thanks to the Republican party.
Words matter, as do facts.
Wasn’t there a book or movie about April called, “The Girl Who Only Sometimes Said No”?
Fake News. Sara answered April’s question at about 20 minutes.
“I think it is disgusting and absurd to suggest that anyone inside of this building would support slavery.”
She should ask Islam, slavery is still accepted by Islam.
