Did you ever eat German Broetchen with Poppy seeds on them. I used to buy them by the half dozen or dozen all the time. But now you don't get them anymore. You still get German Broetchen but without the seeds.

Don't worry I never got high on them

What needs to be done is education and starting in grade school.

But if there's one seemingly simple answer that has been fully discredited by the opioid crisis, it's that the solution lies in wholesale drug legalization.

Depends what the crisis is: if it's about overdose deaths, then legalization with regulation would mean no lethal additives and known strengths of dosage, which would reduce deaths.

If the crisis is abuse: in 2016, 2 million Americans had an opioid use disorder and 15 million had an alcohol use disorder. So which is the crisis?

I loved poppy seed kolaches, one of the best polish/Czech snacks!

Why your obsession

Alcohol is a far bigger problem but I don’t see you posting threads on that

What will happen is folks who need them like me will lose our access to them because of folks like you no offense

I’m already on pain maintenance completely legal

It’s a rigmarole already

Monthly visits and urine tests etc for percs and zanaflex and cortisone

Like always the more govt involvement pain relief will be criminalized

So I’m not with you on this one and I wish folks like you would stay out of my business

I’m not in yours

Use an even bigger font - then you'll be even more right.

Great point.

It seems that you and I are among the few who live in a world without drug connections. I would have no idea where to get illegal drugs - including pot. (Ok, I could go to Colorado and presumably look for a store? But otherwise no idea.)

There seem to be a lot of people who are not in our world. Celebrities, politicians, op-ed writers, etc., who think that drugs are plentiful and easily obtained.

Perhaps this is one explanation for the giant gulf between conservatives and non-conservatives. It is as if we inhabited completely different worlds. Also, perhaps this is why we think much more clearly than those from the other world. I have to wonder what drugs they are routinely taking.

What always gets me is that "legalization" is always - ALWAYS - accompanied by the admitted need for REGULATION.

Why is extensive regulation needed if the activity in question is purportedly so benign?
