I have cable and ESPN is on the ‘advanced’ (first tier above basic).
Were I to drop that tier, there is no way to determine whether I did it specifically to drop ESPN or CNN or TNT, etc.
Getting extremely leftist political is really working out for them!

The interesting thing is the middle and very rich have the same result — 1 subscription for Joe White Collar and 1 for Joe Hedge Fund Manager.

Lots of folks are going with Roku and there’s a package where you don’t have to pay espn. ESPN makes $6 per cable subscriber.

Note how the business (NFL, ESPN) is capapable of purging the SJws to the point of economic suicide.
Rush made a point about this years ago. The pink cancer awareness. It was an attempt to get women to watch football using a disease. But however worthy the cause it introduced social causes to the regular NFL games.
So then it’s a question of which social causes?
This led to the players saying we want equal attention to whatever causes we support.
Leftists have been trying for years to kill football. They hated the NFL.
Jet flyovers and American flags. The Anthem. Hated it.
University of Missouri showed how to destroy football. Go after the weak link in the chain - the players. Co-opt them into social justice warriors and fans will flee. Exactly what happens there when the players threatened to go “on strike” unless the head of the university was fired.

Same here — unless I cut the cord completely I get ESPN whether I want it or not (and I never watch it).
I don't really know the answer. But my understanding is that the primary attractor to premium Cable TV packages is sports. If people abandon ESPN they may be unwilling to pay for a premium package.
The economy is rising -- if people are switching to a Basic Package, they aren't doing it to save a few bucks: they are walking away from ESPN.
But I have no access to stats so I cannot really say if this is what's going on.
The “Homie the clown” Sportscenter at 6:00PM isn’t helping their ratings too much either.
ESPN is on 24 seven at my work. It seems like every time I pass a TV that guy Stephen A Smith is lecturing the viewer. I don’t get this channel. Get rid of that guy alone and the channel would be much improved. Go full retard and sink the ship; fine with me.
I don’t care how big they are losing 480,000 is very significant. I’m so glad this has happened to these anti-American skunks.

Since April 13 ESPN has lost 1/3 of its audience.
I don’t think that Disney really cares that ESPN is tanking. The Disney SJWs would rather run the business into the ground than purge the propaganda. Screw the shareholders also.

The chart is inaccurate. At least 1/3 of voters are independent. The really telling statistic would include how that segment reacted. I suspect similar to Republicans and likely more so.
Be a lot more if Comcast did not include it in the basic package.
