At least 200 people have been killed at Kim Jong-un's nuclear test site in North Korea after a tunnel collapsed.
A news agency quoted a North Korean official as saying that a collapse occurred during the construction of an underground tunnel at the Punggye-ri nuclear test site in the northeast of North Korea on October 10.
According to the report, 100 people were trapped in underground tunnels, and a further collapse occurred during the rescue operation, suggesting that a total of 200 people may have been killed.

Wasn’t it yesterday I saw an article here stating that China warned them this could happen? I feel terrible for those people that were killed needlessly, just trying to get a weapon ready to stroke Kim Jong-un’s ego.
They Christian in me doesn’t want to see anyone die. The patriot in me says, if a couple hundred NK have to die like this, let’s hope they were the cream of their nuclear program and not just some guys they hired to dig.
The survivors were probably executed.
It is totally amazing that even this little dribble of reporting got out. One would suspect the real number of lives sacrificed in this North Korean version of the “Manhattan Project” was far higher, and proceeded in unexpected ways. The radiation contamination alone has to be many times worse than even Chernobyl, and the concept of dosimeters would be limited to use by only the top level people in the testing complex.
