President Trump tweeted a friendly shout-out to former president Jimmy Carter for a week-old interview Saturday morning.
“Just read the nice remarks by President Jimmy Carter about me and how badly I am treated by the press (Fake News). Thank you Mr. President!,” Trump wrote at 8:28 a.m.
It appears Trump was finally catching up with Carter’s Oct. 21 interview in The New York Times. “I think the media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I’ve known about,” Carter said. “I think they feel free to claim that Trump is mentally deranged and everything else without hesitation.”

I never thought I would get to the point where I thought Carter was not only a better man but a better president than anyone after our President Reagan, other than Trump. I’m there, now.
