BREAKING: FIRST CHARGES FILED IN MUELLER INVESTIGATION (CNN)
CNN ^ | 27 Oct 17 | Pamela Brown, Evan Perez and Shimon Prokupecz

Washington (CNN) — A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter. The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge.

Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said.

It is unclear what the charges are. A spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment.

Mueller was appointed in May to lead the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Under the regulations governing special counsel investigations, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has oversight over the Russia investigation, would have been made aware of any charges before they were taken before the grand jury for approval, according to people familiar with the matter.

On Friday, top lawyers who are helping to lead the Mueller probe, including veteran prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, were seen entering the court room at the DC federal court where the grand jury meets to hear testimony in the Russia investigation.

Reporters present saw a flurry of activity at the grand jury room, but officials made no announcements.

(snip)

Mueller is authorized to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation," according to Rosenstein's order.

The special counsel's investigation has focused on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as obstruction of justice by the President, who might have tried to impede the investigation.

CNN reported that investigators are scrutinizing Trump and his associates' financial ties to Russia. Mueller's team has also examined foreign lobbying conducted by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and others. His team has issued subpoenas for documents and testimony to a handful of figures...

How many embassy staff died because of Schiff directly? What did he give the terrorists?

I don't know (please tell me) but I hate the sniveling SOB.

I think he was too lazy to control anything except maybe a golf club. What an empty suit! But he sure did a number on our country, didn’t he? He was picked because he was black (well, he’s not but they aren’t smart enough to know the difference) for the agenda of the progressives and he certainly did his job...I’d like to know how any person with even 1/2 a brain in their head can’t see how much destruction he caused in 8 years and why he even came on the scene!

”If I was a popcorn eater, I’d be stocking up big time.”

I have a feeling this is going to be a big “popcorn” fart for the left. There’s been a lot of signs recently that Trump knows he’s not in the crosshairs. Notice that Trump has backed off on criticisms of both Mueller and Sessions. And Sarah even came out yesterday and told Fox News that she believes the investigation is winding down and close to being over.

Monday will be fun.

The informant worked for a DC Swamp lobbying firm that was hired by Tenex, Tenex, a subsidiary of the Russian government-owned company Rosatom - to grease the skids for a deal to buy a Canadian company, Uranium One, which had substantial mining operations in the USA. According to The Hill website, the deal put about 20 percent of US uranium into the hands of the Russian company.

The informant recognized evidence of criminal behavior in the dealings he witnessed and voluntarily went to the FBI with it.

>His work helped the Justice Department secure convictions against Russia’s top commercial nuclear executive in the United States, a Russian financier in New Jersey, and the head of a U.S. uranium trucking company in what prosecutors said was a long-running racketeering scheme involving bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering.

>Those charges, based on evidence gathered in 2009, were not taken to court until 2014. And that was supposed to be the end of it.

Now, it also happens that the deal for Tenex to buy Uranium One had to be approved by nine federal agencies and signed off on by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, which she did shortly after her husband Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 to give a speech in Moscow sponsored by a Russian bank. The Clinton Foundation also received millions of dollars in “charitable” donations from parties with an interest in the Tenex / Uranium One deal. It happened, too, that the CEO of Uranium One at the time of the Tenex sale, Frank Guistra, was one of eleven board members of the Clinton Foundation.

He’s a puke and he replaced a really neat congressman, Jim Rogan who played a great role in the impeachment of Hillary’s husband...

“”Monday will be fun.””

I wouldn’t call it fun - I’ll be a nervous wreck all weekend. It’s going to play right into the hands of all the puke pundits on CNN and on the left - one and the same! I think we’ve all figured out who the targets will be and wouldn’t it be great if we were wrong? But it wouldn’t make sense that the targets wouldn’t be the president’s son in law, one son, Flynn and Manafort because as far as we know that’s the angle that’s been under investigation. How the law can go after anyone whose activities didn’t involve the Trump campaign is beyond the comprehension of a person able to think for themselves.

Tune into Judge Jeanine tonight - she’ll be on fire!

We finally discover Hillary and company were the real colluders and funded the dossier. Now, possible distraction time... Mueller was appointed because of the fake dossier. The wiretapes were approved because of the fake dossier... How is any of this legal at this point?

The Xlinton Foundation should be forced to reimburse the taxpayers for all expenses incurred, Chelsey should go to federal prison for life, and nevermind a toe, Hillary should have all her bones broken.

Whole lot of speculation here and too much of it positive. The swamp: Mueller, Rosenstien, Comey, McCabe, and the Clintons all participated in the Uranium deal, their futures depend on taking out Trump and continuing the coverup. Watergate and Iran-Contra are just be JV trials compared to whats about to happen. Never could I have imagined the depth of corruption we are witnessing.

When you look at it the way, it becomes not about payback over losing an election but how to stay out of prison.

How I wish we had a pitbull AG instead of snoozy Sessions.

Who's it gonna be? Bets?

What are the current odds for it being Michael Flynn, the human sacrifice? I'm always a long shot gambler, so I'll bet the General.

I think the indictment will be for Trump on financial exchanges going back several years well before 2016, not related to Presidential campaigns but uncovered when Muller was looking into Trump’s banking records back to 2005. If not Trump, who else would merit the DOJ planning to lay out the charges next week to congress and the hiding of the name for national security reasons?

”But it wouldn’t make sense that the targets wouldn’t be the president’s son in law, one son, Flynn and Manafort...”

This is becoming a parlor game, but in my opinion, it’ll be Manafort on some tangentially related charge like perjury or failure to report a money transaction.
