BREAKING: FIRST CHARGES FILED IN MUELLER INVESTIGATION (CNN)
CNN ^ | 27 Oct 17 | Pamela Brown, Evan Perez and Shimon Prokupecz

Washington (CNN) — A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter. The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge.

Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said.

It is unclear what the charges are. A spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment.

Mueller was appointed in May to lead the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Under the regulations governing special counsel investigations, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has oversight over the Russia investigation, would have been made aware of any charges before they were taken before the grand jury for approval, according to people familiar with the matter.

On Friday, top lawyers who are helping to lead the Mueller probe, including veteran prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, were seen entering the court room at the DC federal court where the grand jury meets to hear testimony in the Russia investigation.

Reporters present saw a flurry of activity at the grand jury room, but officials made no announcements.

Mueller is authorized to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation," according to Rosenstein's order.

The special counsel's investigation has focused on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, as well as obstruction of justice by the President, who might have tried to impede the investigation.

CNN reported that investigators are scrutinizing Trump and his associates' financial ties to Russia. Mueller's team has also examined foreign lobbying conducted by former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and others. His team has issued subpoenas for documents and testimony to a handful of figures...

Manafort worked for the Podestas. Manafort reportedly failed to report as a foreign agent for doing work for Ukraine/Russia. The Podesta Group also failed to register as a foreign agent. This are peripheral violations which is the best that democrats to dig up.

LOL, maybe it’s Boente himself who’s getting indicted, for deep-state shannanigans he did while acting AG earlier this year!

If its a lefty, the media incredulity will be beyond belief. We will see the greatest outbreak of naval gazing and insanity the world has ever seen. Their Rino-guy hiring their guys and knocking down one of theirs — it will be garment-ripping.

If Mueller was investigating the dossier, it could be someone who Mueller asked about it. That person, especially if a Dem, might have lied to FBI.

Maybe Boente rolled and told everything he knew to get preferential treatment.

I saw Sessions on FNC today and he sounded very upbeat. I had no interest in hearing what he had to say but I did focus on how he was speaking for a few minutes.

This is all very strange.

I prefer Rudy in this position as AG.

All depends on how CNN is reacting to the story..someone said earlier they look all giddy like they cant wait to release the “Good news” while others said they look all constipated..how CNN reacts will tell the story..and whoever this person is, this person lied under oath..now Podesta LIED and said that they did NOT pay for the dossier on Trump(Til this year I had never heard of a freakin Dossier!) so maybe its Podesta

At this point, what difference does it make?

“Trump should fire Sessions and Mueller today. “

Trump should gut the entire DOJ. Should have done it when Sessions first recused himself. It’s irreparably corrupt.

Trump has to walk a tight rope because he knows the f..ing republicans will try and impeach him on any appearance of ‘impropriety’

Why should it take any longer to build a case against Comey than against Manafort or Flynn?

Because that is the way the judicial system works. It is a painstaking process where every "i" must be dotted and "t" crossed. I sat as a juror on a murder trial where the dying victim identified the murderer. There were tons of other evidence. It took close to 9 months before it came up for trial and the trial took two weeks.

My daughter is a paralegal. The paperwork is unbelievable to move things along in the courts. I find it hard to believe that they could indict Comey in such a short period of time given his high profile and the legal team he could assemble in his defense.

Things are closing in on Hillary, so the Swamp will fight back, and make a Televised ‘Man in handcuffs’ being led away, and it will one of Trumps men. Of course Manafort was working for Podesta, but they would never arrest podesta, so it will be Manafot. Banana Republic USA

“Plus when Comey was fired, he was in LA, and so Trump’s administration people got every single thing in Comey’s office.”

That is a good point to remember.

If the indictment pertains to someone lying about the Dossier, then that narrows the possibilities down to every single Democrat in the country and 99% of the media.

If he’s sworn to secrecy then he should lay off the “Tick Tock” sh!t.

Sean's sources don't seem to have a problem with his Tick Tocks, but you seem to.
