The Democratic National Committee claims its "new leadership" had nothing to do with the funding of the so-called "Trump dossier," after it was reported Tuesday that the firm behind it was hired by DNC lawyer Mark Elias and Hillary Clinton's campaign.
"Tom Perez and the new leadership of the DNC were not involved in the decision-making regarding Fusion GPS, nor were they aware that Perkins Coie was working with the organization," said DNC Communications Director Xochitl Hinojosa in statement, referring to the DNC chairman.
Neither Brazile nor Wasserman Schultz appear to have spoken out yet on the Washington Post report which made the Trump dossier revelations.
The Clinton campaign and the DNC financed Fusion GPS's research up until just days before the Nov. 8 election.

Ha !
sounds like confirmation that the old leadership was....
LOL, Oh sure they weren’t, we believe you.......Not
Sounds like the Dems know they need to jettison Hilly/Bill to protect themselves going forward
Sure, I guess we’ll have to put all of the focus on Hillary then.
Other thing is Johnny McCain complicit in getting dossier
LOLOLOLOLOL!
Bwahahahahahaha!!
Tough shat trying to walk this back.
How’s the view from under the bus there, Debbie baby?
The Commun.....er Democrat Party is corrupt from top to bottom.
The Republican party is only corrupt at the top.
Are the rats jumping off a sinking ship?
Time to lawyer up
I wonder if the Dems are trying to put Hillary to pasture.
She’s absolutely embarrassing and they are only now getting it. Pinning this on her would help that tremendously.
That could be suicidal.
There is no ‘new leadership’, they just take turns being the public spokesmouth.
Yep, throwin’ the woman under de bus!
Certainly does
We didn’t do it but they did.
Too bad leadership on both sides were probably just as complicit. No difference between the D & R. Trump needs to draw and quarter all of them...
It is systemic corruption of all the party and people within.
Nothing short of a wholesale purge and reorganization of the entire party will do.
