Hillary Clinton's top aides still being paid by campaign nearly one year after defeat

A number of longtime aides to failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton are still being paid from her campaign committee nearly one year after her defeat, Federal Election Commission filings show.

The aides—who have remained close to Clinton, some working with her as a private citizen—have through the end of the third quarter collected thousands of dollars in payments from Hillary for America, Clinton's presidential campaign committee, the most recent filings show.

Huma Abedin, Clinton's longtime friend and aide who acted as vice chair of the campaign, has been paid nearly $65,000 between mid-November to the end of June. From the beginning of July until the end of September, during the third quarter, Abedin was paid a little more than $2,000, bringing her total payments to around $67,000 since the election.

Maybe it’s hush money.

My bet is that Hillary thinks she can keep the band together for her next run. Sure, she said she’s done, but she’s never more than one “listening tour” away from doing what she wants. Remember her promise to serve out her full term as a NY senator? She blew that off after the predictable outcome of her listening tour, where all the little people clamored for her to run for President in 2008. /S

I’m hoping that we can get some knowledgeable comments from someone who has researched just who among their political allies that the Clinton’s are paying out of their vast and growing Clinton Foundation Stockpile.

We do know that not much of that money is going to “the poor” and it can’t all be heading for the Clinton’s Pockets. Who is getting the rest?

I never understood how she was able to do that listening tour.

Caroline Kennedy tried to do a listening tour in an abortive attempt to be appointed senator from New York when the senate seat opened between elections, and she fell flat on her face. But Hillary somehow pulled it off, allegedly listened to New Yorkers, and got herself elected.

Maybe the listening tour works once, but others can’t imitate it??? I wonder. I do remember the media fawned over Hillary and her listening tour, doing what she can to learn all about her adopted home state.

Maybe what she was really doing was trying to keep her mouth shut, because as we saw in her presidential campaign, when she opens her mouth and spouts banalities, her popularity goes down.

They are still cleaning up and remodeling that hotel room after Hillary Clinton’s election night rampage.

I think so too. But I don’t want to be distracted by a possible stealth candidate vetting either.

Do you think it’s a good thing for her to run again? My only fear is having to listen to her horrible voice for two years. That voice is nightmarish.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My bet is that hildabeast has a string of her “staff” still on the State Department payroll. with a few more sprinkled out at DOJ, Homeland, FBI.

as far as running in 2020 remember this: the best criminal defense is to run for public office.

the Xlinton regime has used this “defense” to keep um out of the pokey for about 4 decades

I think it’s great news for us. She reached peak popularity and will never go any higher. Many on the left are now also sick of listening to her now as well.

Re: I think she’s going to run again.

I think she has never stopped. She is still fantasizing that the Left will get rid of Trump. Some scandal will be exposed, and she will be ushered into the White House as she has dreamed of doing for decades. Meanwhile, she is keeping herself in the news on a daily basis, commenting on all things political. And the MSM is complying with her wishes, reporting her opinions and thoughts. Chelsea is doing the same.
