One Virginia political observer I spoke with earlier said this innocent explanation could well be accurate, but other theories abound, such as speculation that the Democrats deliberately excluded a black man from certain mailers in order to target voters in various regions of the state. I'm not sure I buy that -- especially since the altered flyers were distributed in moderate Northern Virginia -- but like Erickson, I am quite confident that the outrage brigades would be in full throat if Ed Gillespie's campaign had done something similar. Speaking of Gillespie, here's the second intriguing nugget out of that race. Remember when we highlighted quotes from Democrats in the state expressing their increasingly-panicked concerns about Northam's standing? One wonders how they must've reacted to this fresh poll that broke last night:

I dunno. Cause they don’t like negroes?
Fwiw, I saw my first tv ad for Mr. Fairfax yesterday.. I dont watch a lot of tv except for the local over the air news. Fairfax the forgotten man! All other candidates are all over tv.
Racist Ralph Northam refused to shake hands with Bishop Jackson, his Black GOP opponent 4 years ago. Just typical behavior from him wanting to whitewash his running mate from the Democrat Plantation Party ticket.
Delicious.
What makes this more egregious is it is they obviously reused the same art work and photos from the earlier flier, but they’ve gone all old school soviet on the Lt. Governor nominee and left him out.
“Uh, oh. This bad news better not get out...”
It’s probably not going to hurt the Dems. If they were running against a REAL CONSERVATIVE, the conservative would have TV ads running in the tone of a “Missing Persons Alert”...to get the point across.
But, our inclusive RINO would NEVER want to alienate the 177 or so black voters he’s planning to get, so he’ll instead give the Dems a pass.
Perhaps the running mate didnt have crisp creases in his pants?
Thanks for posting.. first I heard of that. Did Blm burn down his house with his kids inside.
Virginia legal, registered, voters...you all got your chance this year to save Virginia from becoming California, from MS-13 thugs & druggies, to make Virginia the economic powerhouse she can become when rid of the Liberal, Progressive, Socialist, Communist government of Terry McAuliffe and Ralph Northam.
But, most importantly, a victory by Republican, Ed Gillespie just about insures, a massive Democrat Political defeat coming in November, 2018, the Mid-Term Elections. this election folks is much bigger then just “A Governor’s” election.
So...please, pay little heed to the naysayers that bad mouth Gillespie, these are good loyal folks, but, in thei narrow of the political world, they are missing the strategic big picture. Get out vote and cast your votes for the next governor, of Virginia, ED Gillespie. Do it & MAGA.
And....go for ever the longest politcal upset...winning the governor slot in New Jersey...ya gotta be in to win it.
And another point - redistributing will be coming up under the next Governor. Northampton will not help the effort begun with the election of Dave Brat.
It’s no biggie. They are just currying favor with their rather large KKK and Nazi factions.
George Rockwell started the American Nazi Party in Arlington Virginia and the KKK has been in Virginia a long time.
Not to long ago if you wanted to advance in the Democrat party in Virginia you had to also be a member of the KKK. In the Virginian Democrat party those days are not forgotten.
Maybe he ‘s not clean and artickulite?
They figure a lot of their constituency will stay home rather than vote for a black?
Democrats are racist by nature so not unusual for this to happen. They are also 1 step away from communists and communists erase people all the time.
