One of Russia's top radio presenters has had surgery after being stabbed in the neck by a man who broke into her newsroom at broadcaster Ekho Moskvy.
Tatyana Felgengauer is in a medically-induced coma in a Moscow hospital but her life is not said to be in danger.
A male suspect is under arrest. His motive is not clear, though police say it appears to be a personal grudge.

Never let a good crisis go to waste.
To hear them tell it, the hatred (solicited by themselves) puts only THEM in danger.
Actions, especially projection, have consequences.
Probably an innocent explanation for this, this misunderstanding.
Most likely will have twenty years in some Russian prison out on the Steppes to explain it all.
Yep, the perp is way insane, and was stalking the radio twit because she was harassing him telepathically.
Beats being stabbed with a ricin-tipped umbrella, but not by much.
In before the
“What’s the frequency, Tatyana..?!” comment.
Why didn't you tell me that tinfoil hats would protect me from her telepathy?
Whatever the attacker’s motivation..one thing is certain..he is a pain in the neck.
(Snicker ...)
Fake news. Thats how its corrected in Russia.
Good point. Putin does all he can to have a free and fair press. It’s those crazy leftist that keep undermining the former KGB Communist Colonel who values freedom more than anything, except maybe the vast wealth he’s stolen from the Russian people.
Russia, Russia, Russia!
Well, on the picture at the linked BBC article, she looks like a cutie; definitely not a face made for radio as the old saying goes.
He has a blog on worldpress linked by BBC and schizophrenia is obvious from his posts. He is unlikely to be with the Russians since there are posts against their involvement in Syria and calls for action about it dated back to 2015. It seems like he is an overeducated unemployed programmer from Tel Aviv, Israel, certainly a lefty loser (who else would listen to Echo of Moscow?) and you can see his obsession with Felgenhauer builds up in his posts too.
European networks don’t have “news anchors”; they have “news presenters.”
Semantics, if you ask me. I suppose they call them presenters because of the “dirty commercial nature” of US broadcasting.
