They were one of the early Trump Supporters, and went all out for him in the election.
Hard to do better than that in Presidential politics.

They certainly aren't perfect, but if the NRA hadn't come out in support of Trump as early as they did, there is a very good chance that we'd be dealing with a “President PIAPS” right now.
