Don’t do that, Quebec! George W Bush will likely hint at your bigotry and white supremacy.

We should pass laws the same as theirs about who can and can’t act in movies and TV shows.

I see what you did there...
Not nice!

You mean foreign galaxy worlds are not all as depicted in Stargate SG1? they don't all look like British Columbia?

While, I totally agree that Islam is the culprit in so many terrorist acts (and it’s a despicable theocracy), this law seems to be a violation of freedom of speech & expression. And it violates freedom of religion concepts in Western Civ.

All of us who believe in LIBERTY and individual rights should theoretically reject this law.

Having said that, there’s a sense of relief with this law because I don’t trust someone who can’t show their face to society and wears bulky clothing that could conceal a suicide bomber vest.

But I know my sense of relief is not founded in proper ethics because we’re supporting suppression of speech/expression.

If freedom of expression (speech) includes doing suicide bombings, of course, there are laws in place.

Sorry, I can’t fully support this ban. Ban the use of face covering before the law (government issued ID, interaction with the police or courts, etc) I support. But a citizen has the right to protect their privacy and with the wide use of cameras, facial masks / coverings have a purpose and a use.

It's a good thing that we are all entitled to our opinion even though we may not agree as to why.

I do support the ban, and am curious as to why anyone would not.

Specifically, your opinion that "facial masks / coverings have a purpose and a use. is non-sensical without examples aside from the obvious : protection from inclement weather or freezing conditions; being bundled in a hoodie when the temperature is in the 90s can only be a warning of criminal intent.

There are exceptions, of course... unusual medical conditions which are the usual red herrings dragged out by bad people with bad intentions, and I can safely dismiss those as suspect.

I can't think of any purpose or use for concealing your identity for some reason.
Can you elaborate on that? What am I missing?

Which we can all agree are ineffectual --- i.e. does not prevent the abuse by the criminally bent; the ones who pay the price, often with their life might actually have a different take on "my liberty trumps..."

I take efforts (shy of masks) to conceal my identity. My job requires international travel and I consult for security systems for major financial institutions.

I do not have a Facebook, Twitter or other social media page. I do not allow my wife to post Photo’s of me on her facebook page.
