Yes to that. We have not watched in 5 weeks (never missed Sunday afternoon, evening, and Monday nite football)and have found it liberating. Cannot believe the time we wasted sitting on the couch watching these buffoons.

Lot of damage has been done. This won;t go away that easy. Time for them to REALLY bend their knees and beg for their patrons to return by showing real patriotism.
This. The Professional teams have done the calculus and concluded that a bunch of traditional patriots are worth less than the approval of their virtue signalling peers and the players. They think they can withstand the revenue loss. And they may be right in the short run.
Long run, I think the calculus fails as football is already on the wane. Parents don’t allow their kids to play because of the injuries, so this just speeds the eventual demise. There are other sports that are competing with football for attention. As fewer kids play, its less interesting to them as they become adults. In 20 years, football will about as popular as golf is today and the professional teams won’t be able to continue as they have with that lowered level of interest.
Failure won’t be on the current owners watch so they’re not so concerned.
Don’t care. The NFL jumped the shark long ago.

unfortunately, not. I'd be willing to bet the farm that when the next TV contract comes up it will make the current only look like pocket change. It always goes up, REGARDLESS. Financially it is the biggest loser for the networks, but yet they continue to fight over it.
