Missouri is not in compliance because it refuses to share the documents that proves legal residence/citizenship with FedGov. MO does not knowingly issue DLs to illegal aliens and its documentation process meets RealID standards. It’s just the sharing part that is out of compliance. Kind of a state’s rights thing. Should FedGov be able to require a state to share info that it (the state) has gathered?

Now MO has come up with a way to wiggle out of the problem. If someone is willing to share their personal info with the Feds, they can get a DL that is RealID compliant. (I won’t because I already have a passport).

I found this: https://www.nga.org/files/live/sites/NGA/files/pdf/0907PASSIDBENCHMARKS.PDF

It looks like the biggest things states are choking on are retention of copies of source documents, end date for licences matching end dates of visas for nonpermanent visitors, and clearly identifying which IDs do not comply with Real ID by printing "Yo soy un illegal" on the picture. OK, I have exagerated the last point a little.

States that refuse to adequately verify identity or who give licenses to illegal aliens.
They should be excluded.

I believe that military posts no longer accept as ID drivers licenses from these same states.

These states have had long enough to clean up their state ID.

This reminds me I need to send mine in for renewal. DL is complaint, no problem flying.

Patently unconstitutional, for all that matters anymore.

We have the right of free passage between the states.

Mark my words, this “papers please” sh1t will expand into other forms of transportation and finally get to the automobile. The goal of the police state is border check points between the states.

So many years post 9/11 and we still can’t figure anything out without putting a torch to the REAL American civil liberties. I just love how everybody else can waltz right on in having free reign to our country.

Here is a question that I can not seem to get an answer to...

What additional information is needed from you to make your drivers license a “compliant” driver’s license?

Do compliant stats put your SSN on the DL? Is Birth Certificate info on your DL? WHAT MAKES A DRIVERS LICENSE A COMPLIANT ONE!!!

I have to renew my DL next month here in NH and will not be giving them any more information then what I have already done in the past.

Since I don’t fly and never will in the future I could care less, but I will be damned if I have to turn over tons of personal information to renew my license.

Warning! Just because your state is complaint doesn't ensure your driver's license will be compliant. When I last renewed mine a RealID complaint version was available for a small extra fee... and extra paperwork. They wanted my original SS card and my birth certificate as the easiest of the acceptable documentation. It turned out my original copy of the latter wasn't good enough, it lacked the fancy state seal used nowadays. So I had to send, by mail, to my birth state, for an 'official' copy for another small fee. Which wasn't too stringent about proving my identity. At least it was easy to add the Real ID certification to my license once I got my ducks in a row. I also noted the article graphic showed Hawaii as 'compliant.' Interesting in that we know its birth records of a certain vintage are worthless.

For most people, it’s the card itself. Barcode and security to prevent counterfeiting. Immigrants have more hassle to get one. And the state must agree to share all info with other states.

Not sure if this has been answered yet, haven’t seen it anyway, but how is this NOT a ‘Federal ID’ if a state is giving the info to a Federal database? Isn’t it then the same thing as ‘papers’ to identify and track us like the Nazis did the Germans?

I would even like to throw out in the mix, this along with the ‘permanent school and testing records from ‘common core’ testing, government medical health records, and the whole ‘jobs certifications’ mandates we have now screams out anything but FREEDOM and PRIVACY.

People go through immigration and customs on all direct flights originating in Canada. Every person and every time. Doesn’t matter whether you look like a Mexican type or a Norwegian. You must be mistaken.

Last year I was leaving for the airport and realized I lost my license, grabbed my passport and left. All was well.
