Much of the ground for advocating Second Amendment freedoms has been covered in the media, but at times like this, when a major tragedy places the second amendment under intense scrutiny, the basic point bears repeating. The Second Amendment to the Constitution is not about granting rights to citizens to carry guns; it is about denying to government the exclusive monopoly on the use of force and ensuring the preservation of our freedom. “A well-regulated Militia...” where regulated in 18th century speak means well-trained.
Where is my constitutionally mandated range time? Why am I not invited to attend reservists 2 weeks active duty refresher training? I don’t feel well trained by my government as it is mandated by the constitution.
If Miss What’s-her-name can demand we buy her birth control pills, I demand the government buy me all the ammunition I want in the calibers and loads of my choice.
Militia’s are self trained by definition.
