A unit of U.S. special forces tasked with carrying out "decapitation" operations is aboard a nuclear-powered submarine in the group, according to a defense source.......
Among other assets mobilized are F-15K, FA-18 and A-10 fighter jets, as well as AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, Lynx and AW-159 Wild Cat naval choppers.
The U.S. has also deployed a Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) plane to closely monitor the North's ground and naval forces.

Need to find Ted Striker’s speech to his girlfriend about his coming mission over Macho Grande.
McCaffrey may be right. It’s going down next summer.
Ted Striker: My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We’re bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We’re coming in from the north, below their radar.
Elaine Dickinson: When will you be back?
Ted Striker: I can’t tell you that. It’s classified.
China will side with the Norks.
Not so sure. China has nothing to gain and only to lose. Side with the NORKS and its goodbye trade and goodbye Taiwan. The more probable outcome is that they invade first so that they control the situation.
“China will side with the Norks”
____________
China’s impending economic collapse doesn’t provide them that option.....better to let fatso deal with his own problem....
Hey fat punk, maybe the world is about to find out that your such a stud after all?
Question to anyone, slightly off topic...
During the last Iraq War (2003) I recall that about half a dozen Apaches got completely ripped up while leading an assault on a fixed defensive position.
As I recall, the commentary at that time was that anti-aircraft fire had become so effective that, in the future, attack helicopters would need to stay on the periphery of the battlefield and fire rockets and ordnance only in support of the attacking troops.
Has that perspective changed at all?
Have there been any technology improvements that make the Apache less vulnerable as a front line attacker?
“Back in June it was reported that the U.S. and South Korea were training their special forces to track down and assassinate Kim Jong-un in the event of war as part of a joint operation.”
Thanks Sorks, let them know the assets we have in place.
The story is already out there....

...And, hopefully, the kimchee eating fat kid knows his days are numbered if he doesn’t wise up......
Now, what did the unfortunate people in Mega-town do to her?
I didn’t know Howie made it.
The power nations know this is a play for world control, if they do not jump in now it will be too late..I expect Russia and China to play..
What I understand about that issue is that the pilots, in order to come in low and avoid the phone/power lines, were trained to fly directly over the top of the poles. The enemy knew this and had their fire aimed accordingly. I’m sure our tactics have changed.
I agree. This isn’t China of the 1950s. This is China in the 21st. century with two generations of Chinese who have things in their lives, things that if their parents and grandparents had ever even thought about having would have been shot. They don’t want to lose that. China in the 1950s was not an economic powerhouse with access to world markets and had tremendous wealth and buying power. Why would they want to risk that for FatBoy? Hey Flip, hows Geraldine doing?
