Secretary of Defense James Mattis flatly denied that President Donald J. Trump ever requested ten times more nuclear weapons. He also says that Secretary Rex Tillerson never called the commander-in-chief a “moron", reports the Washington Examiner.
"There was no discussion with that tone or that content that I recall in the Pentagon or at any other time," Mattis told reporters during an impromptu visit to the Pentagon press area. "I will even remove that I recall. I think I would recall a conversation about doubling or ten times the nukes, Okay. I've never had that discussion."
"If I had gotten word like that I surely would have asked for a meeting to go back over and say whether or not I thought it was good idea," Mattis said.
As to whether or not Rex Tillerson actually called President Trump a moron, Mattis denies that as well.
"I was right there so anyone who says that he called someone a moron, I mean, I was there with him the whole way and that never happened," Mattis said.
Earlier in the week, Trump jokingly told Forbes that he and the former Exxon mobile CEO would have to compare IQ tests to test who the real moron is.
"I think it's fake news, but if he did that, I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests," said President Donald Trump, “and I can tell you who is going to win."
Journalists took this comment seriously, leading White House Press Secretary to tell members of the press to "get a sense of humor."
"Again, he wasn't questioning the secretary of state's intelligence. He made a joke," Sanders said. "Maybe you guys should get a sense of humor and try it sometime, but he simply made a joke. He's been extremely clear time and time again, despite the fact that you guys want to continue to bring this up. He's got 100 percent confidence in the secretary of state."

The media just makes stuff up to force the President to answer their mail. It’s much easier than doing research.
I saw CNN report on this. Mattis just laid it out and listed all the ways that the media was pushing Fake News, and laying out all the ways in which the Trump White House was functioning in a fine and very satisfactory way.
And the CNN “crawl” at the bottom of the screen said: “Mattis in Full Damage Control Mode”.
Sheesh!
Hahahahaha, CNN is a joke. They all make up stories and then when EVERYONE denies it they are in, “full damage control”. I heard one panel after General Kelly destroyed them say, “yea, what do you expect him to say”. Fake News indeed!

The left has been throwing a “Sore Loser” party since November 8th of last year and it shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. The more fake news they make up to try and bring down this president the more solid his support becomes. I’ve never seen the left so off their game like this. I like it and I hope the suffering for the left continues and gets worse for them. The worse off they are the better the country is.
It also makes them feel like they are journalists when they report something, even if they make it up. Like kids playing house.
It’s either fake news or they’d have to admit that Trump is playing them every day, just like last week when he tossed out a shiny object “Let’s go after NBC’s license!” and while they were fixated on that, proceeded to cut the heart out of Obamacare and kill the Iran deal.

Part of me feels like they are creating a bunch of this fake fighting news and outlandish attributions to push their 25th amendment idea. Keep everyone thinking there is constant chaos and controversy and only ONE solution. Before the end they will write stories asking “why doesn’t Donald Trump just resign, he’s creating so much division in the country!”.

In a way that is quite accurate. #FakeNews can be very damaging. That is the purpose of it.
OMG I hadn’t even notice the pipe going down from the toilet to the TV set until now.
