Trump decertifies Iran nuclear deal, announces new sanctions

President Trump said Friday he’s decertifying the Iranian nuclear deal forged under the Obama administration, but stopped short of ending the international agreement, instead giving Congress 60 days to take a tougher approach toward Tehran’s lawless behavior.

“We will not continue down a path whose predictable conclusion is more violence, more terror and the very real threat of Iran’s nuclear breakout,” Mr. Trump said. “Iran is not living up to the spirit of the deal.”

In an address from the White House, the president also said he’s directing the Treasury Department to sanction Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps over its support of terrorism in the Middle East, calling it a “long overdue step.”

“History has shown the longer we ignore a threat, the more dangerous that threat becomes,” the president said.

Mr. Trump, who has called the 2015 agreement signed by President Obama a “horrible” deal and threatened to rip it up, instead decided reluctantly to try to beef up the restrictions on Tehran by going to Congress.

Trump said that if Congress does nothing, then he will abrogate the deal.

And who’s job is that? Corker, I believe, since he is chairman of the Senate committee that handles this stuff. Popcorn time. LOL.

McCain isn’t look so hot in that photo on Drudge. I don’t expect we will be worrying about what he thinks much longer.

Maybe, but we'll have to endure a week of national mourning and non-stop coverage of his funeral, as if he was a head of state.

Here here! I agree with all you said, and I admit I had my doubts about Kelly, but I have just learned to trust Trump. He is good judge of character. :)

That should have given me a big hearty clue.

My heart is misbehaving the last couple of days and I’m not feeling well, that’s my current excuse for being foolish....

That’s okay, it will be party time on FR and across the nation! Happy dances, celebrations and the more the slimedia and slime-elites cry fake tears, they happier we’ll be.

The Iran nuclear deal was something the New World Order business elites wanted so they could lift sanctions and trade with Iran.

Its a pro-Israel pro-Neocon move, but powerful people are offended.

Rush Limbaugh pointed out that the “Corker Amendment” of the now departing Senator Bob Corker was to enable lifting of sanctions so business could be done with Iran.

El Rushbo cited Boeing. Another company benefitting was Airbus.

Between those two companies 180 airliners are on order from Iran.

Will deals like those fall through now?

Corker will do anything to preserve the deal. The RINOs and Dems will come up with the “solution.”

Break the Mullahs and let Iran rejoin the civilized world, as should have happened in 2009.
