I will never vote for a Democrat, as they are even worse than a traitorous Republican. I instead would just not vote.

This is a once a century opportunity to actually get what republicans have been "promising" to their constituents.

And yet look at how they [Congress] don't.

  1. ObamaCare repeal: Nope.
  2. Border security: Nope.
  3. Financial responsibility: Nope.
  4. Government Accountability: Nope.
  5. Reigning in the overreach of the Federal Government: Nope.
  6. Getting rid of extant gun-control: Nope.
  7. Illegalizing abortion: Nope.
(Special note: the Congress can exclude many cases from the Supreme Court's purview; Art. 3, Sec 2, Para 2 says … In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.)
It looks to me like the Republican party is all talk.

Why would Republicans want to hurt members of their own party, the Democrats?

That, good sir, is the real question!

It would almost be better to look at the 100 Senators not as Democrats and Conservatives.

So there are 48 blue colored liberals, and what, maybe 5 (Collins, Corker, McCain, Graham, Sasse) blue colored liberals, leaving only 47 conservatives in the Senate to pass legislation.

This is so stupid. If the Republicans in Congress just supported Trump, the Republican Party would be dominating like never before. The Democrats would be absolutely finished.
>

Stupid? The elected, the Party or the people whom keep re-election?

Supporting Trump? How ‘bout their OWN platform? Election year lies?

They couldn’t even zero out the budget for NEA/NPR/PP, but gave a blank check. 7+ years of “We’ll REPEAL...”, then once again the majority hemming & hawing.

Trump is but another piece of that whole pie.

“The line is between a Constitutional Republic and a Socialist/Fascist oligarchy”.

You are exactly right.

Hopefully some of the liberals of the “useful idiot” stripe will wake up and realize they are being used and abused. Most blacks haven’t seen it so I’m not optimistic.

Bread and circuses.

Should they actually dump the legions of Progressive rubber stamp artists for the democrat Progressive/socialist/NWO agenda, a new Conservative Republican Party, that stands for the Republic created by the Founding Fathers (who abhorred even the word “democracy” as being the path to tyranny) would result in generations of dominance politically. A return to the Constitutional basis of our government of the People, by the People and for the People.

The article describes it as a civil war in the party— if it is allowed to be one, then the divide and conquer opportunists of the Progressive movement, allied with their liberal Establishment elitists in media and academe— will win, and the American people will lose big time. We must make our conservative voices heard in every corridor of power. We’re done with these uniparty scags.

John McPain missed that line in the Bible about vengeance, as he is full of vengeance toward the President.

TCruz said today that the GOP could face Watergate casualties in 2018. I wonder if he is thinking of himself as a potential loser to the Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who appears headed to an uncontested party nomination. Just saying O’Rourke can’t win might not be enough!

I think Cruz will win mainly because he has not been trashing Trump & has been voting correctly. In other words he has kept quiet as he knows he almost deep-sixed his political career going up against Trump during the Presidential primaries, and especially his Republican Convention speech which was not well received by anyone other than Never-Trumpers. Which he soon found out were not as large a group as he imagined. Ted is a smart man who realizes when he oversteps his rhetoric. Besides that enough time has gone by that most people have put that behind them and no longer even think about it. Had he been up fopr reelection right after the Presidential primaries, I think he would have definitely lost his bid for reelection.

“no major legislation has been passed,” but major executive orders have, and the wall is going up, and the economy is showing signs of life, and he’s standing up to N. Korea and China and Iran. In other words, the only true claim is that Congress is not cooperating on major legislation. They want their arses kissed, and might end up having them kicked.

I thought the name Paul Waldman rang a stinky bell. He was on the “JournoList” of 151 liberal/leftist writers compiled?/posted by Buckeye Texan on July 29, 2010 (website not listed on the sheet).

Waldman was identified as being an “author, American Prospect” (a somewhat Left of Liberal publication).

He might also show up on the www.keywiki.org list of “JournoList” writers indexed there from another source.

Sometimes you gotta have a scorecard to know who you’re playing with.

My girlfriend and I were talking yesterday as we were riding down the road. She asked me about an article she saw on Facebook. I was explaining what was going on. Now, bear in mind, she is a LEGAL immigrant from another country. She stopped me and said “Wait.... Wait. Paul Ryan is a Republican? I couldn’t tell from his actions. I thought he was a Democrat. It made it strange for me when you had 2 democrats running against Obama and Biden.” I nearly choked. She’s here from another country, and literally, by looking at what they do, and not the reports, she was convinced that the Democrats had two groups running for President and the Republicans had given up.

I propose it’s about time for the rise of a new third party. One that could take that middle ground and relegate the Democrats to the useless territory they are aiming for and support regular Americans.

Currently, I’m working with the Veterans Party of America. They are good, and despite starting about a year and a half before the election, ignored by the press and on a shoestring budget and trying to overcome the massive hurdles of ballot access across the country, were able to get on the ballot in 7 states, get write-in access on 19 others and over 250,000 votes for President.

If you’re interested, look them up. Give it a try. Look at their platform. Even if you don’t like it, and decide to stick with the R’s, knowing there’s a place for those Dems who won’t switch to Republican, but can’t stay Dem, should give you some comfort.
