No big deal. His pension will be calculated on the average of his highest paid years. So if he should be fine. On the other hand if he was living beyond his means of his current salary then he may be forced into bankruptcy, unless he likes to work a ton of O.T.

Sucks to be him...

I agree completely with you, but don’t use the term “civilian”. We aren’t civilians, and they aren’t the military. We are CITIZENS of this great republic and they are employees of a municipal corporation most of the time. In other words, this ain’t Iraq, and they aren’t in the middle of a war zone. I care not to perpetuate this fallacy.

Far too many of them, and their unions, consider us to be subjects of the state. And far too many elected officials consider cops to be revenue collection agents in disguise...

If you or I do something stupid or illegal and kill or injure somebody, we can be sued into oblivion. But a cop? They are protected by the unions and DAs, and they will never suffer the consequences - we the taxpayers are on the hook the entire way. We need to start thinking about going after their pensions and other assets. Whole lot of cops would lose their attitudes and consider their actions more carefully if we started nailing bad cops to the wall financially.

I said she was wrong to resist arrest.

This is how it is supposed to happen.

An investigation and then determination.

The BLM SJW chapter here is for immediate condemnation, just like the leftists you make common cause with.

This can easily be accomplished. Require all cops to have a bond. A baseline amount can be determined for what a normal bond would cost and that amount can be paid by the municipality employing the cops. As the bad cops do bad things, their bond costs would go up and they would either have to cover it out of their own pocket, or find another line of work. East peasy.

No, you initially insisted she was wrong to refuse the illegal demands and that the demands were correct.

“No, you initially insisted she was wrong to refuse the illegal demands and that the demands were correct.”

I responded to the article statement that a person must be able to give permission for blood to be drawn, which is ludicrous on its face in that no one unconscious after an accident could therefore have blood taken.

On a side note, whether “the demand” as you call it to take blood was illegal has not been established.

I was 100% right in everything I said and did not join the liberal hysteria of the SJW BLM type rush to judgement.

I have no problem with the findings and decision of the investigators and police.

So the law doesn’t exist if the demand is given from behind a badge?

Hint: “ an internal investigation found evidence Detective Jeff Payne violated department policies when he arrested nurse Alex Wubbels and dragged her out of the hospital”

Can you provide a link to the report?

I’d like to see it and not have it filtered though emotional hysterics, e.g. You post.

Considering he was “FIRED”, I’d say the quoted information is accurate.
