He already did when he owned a USFL team. He sued in federal court and beat the NFL. But the USFL was already defunct and court only fined them $1.

I agree with you on tax-exempt non-profit reform. Shut it all down. How is Scientology a religion?

I’m seeing more people out on the roads, in the stores, in the park on Steelers Sunday’s this year. Used to be the world came to a halt when the Steelers played.

I wonder how many knew the NFL was “non-profit” and tax exempt. (I didn’t know that.). When “the rest of us” finally get this “new” message, there will be real outrage. I was upset before, now I’m angry. Trump is like a bright flashlight in the dark...and the roaches are coming into view everywhere!

How is Scientology a religion?

That is a very funny story. It was a masterful war using Sun Tsu’s tactics and Scientology won.

As a non profit, the executive salaries are excessive.

I never thought football should be getting massive tax break but I also don't like I don't like the idea of getting rid of them being associated with the state disciplining the NFL. I agree that if the players and the owners want protest during the national anthem that's there choice and they are welcome to it. any fan that disagrees with what they are doing can decide not to support them but other then using the bully pulpit by elected repersentives and the president government should not be using it legislative power to try and dictate how everyone should should behave.

NFL is no longer non-profit after giving up tax exempt status in 2015.This has to do with other tax ramifications!

Yep. Repeal the antitrust exemption and shut 'em down!

I am sick of supporting theis madness through my local tax payments. Why should I be forced to subsidize a private enterprise? That is the definition of fascism.

I think we need to do some match-making between OJ and the ‘new and improved’ Bruce Jenner!

Then OJ can, ‘Nicole’ Kaitlyn and we’ll be rid of two nut jobs for the price of one! ;)

You still don’t. The claim was misleading before, and is wrong now.

In years past, the NFL itself was non-profit as an organizational structure, because it disperses all funds it takes in to the teams - who all pay whatever taxes they individually owe in the normal manner.

Since 2015, the NFL has changed the way that the money flows so that that structure no longer applies.

However, the NFL still has an Anti-Trust exemption that allows them to fix prices, fix wages, and illegally centrally control media contracts, all of which are otherwise illegal. The teams also have property tax exemptions and the agencies financing their stadiums are floating tax-free bonds. This is worth more than all the other tax breaks and non-profit status ever totaled.
