Harvey Weinstein begged top Hollywood CEOs and entrepreneurs for their last-minute support in a desperate email that he sent shortly before he was fired amid the growing list of sexual harassment accusations against him, according to a report out Monday.
Media strategist at Eldridge Industries LLC, the holding company for The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group, Janice Min, took to Twitter on Monday to post the email in which the movie mogul pleaded for support from the industry.
My board is thinking of firing me. All Im asking, is let me take a leave of absence and get into heavy therapy and counseling. Whether it be in a facility or somewhere else, allow me to resurrect myself with a second chance. A lot of the allegations are false as you know but given therapy and counseling as other people have done, I think Id be able to get there, the letter began, according to Min. I could really use your support or just your honesty if you cant support me.
Hollywood power players including the onetime Disney boss and Dreamworks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and NBCUniversal Vice Chairman Ron Meyer refused to help, Min added.

Anyone remember Bubba doing this before the blue stain?
‘If I go down, you ALL are goin’ down’.
Another commie lib celebrity. Thirty minutes in “rehab” and everything is cool again. What a bunch of clowns.
Weinstein’s puffy, pock-marked face looks like someone poisoned him with dioxin. Icky.
I can’t understand how he can really get fired, unless he no longer owns a majority of the company’s stock.
I’m still not clear why after 30 years of (well known) stomach-turning perv behavior, suddenly—very suddenly—the perv is finally getting what he deserves.
Who was mainly behind exposing and firing Harvey Weinstein, and what event(s) triggered what just occurred?
Bye bye.
I hope someone grabs his ass on the way out to dinner.
He is not just a sex sleaze:

I smell him perving on someone he thought had no political power but turned out to be related to someone with rich and powerful family members.

That’s a very good question...why now?
Just a thought...the Clintons aren’t powerful enough to protect their donors anymore? But still...why did the NYT, who has protected BJ and countless others now choose to tell the truth? Maybe the NYTs is tired of being a joke and figured they had to be honest for once?
Mind boggling how many people enabled this, accepted this as part of the deal and thereby are complicit in the degradation of women, morals, culture. Weinstein, Hugh Heffner, BJ, JFK, etc. etc. a pattern of the powerful and their dirty selves hiding behind leftist rhetoric about how they value women.
A lot of the allegations are false as you know but given therapy and counseling as other people have done, I think Id be able to get there,
I never robbed that bank but I’m Willing to go into Robbers Anonymous and get Help for my bank robbing. Which I didn’t do.

The NYT will never be tired of being a joke. There must have been some advantage or incentive in play for them to tell the truth.
He wasn’t fired because THEY just learned he’s a pervert. He got fired because WE did.

Or is this a domino effect from Cosby?
He should have reminded them he knows where the bodies are buried.
Guess he’s too scared to do that.
It's called draining the swamp. Do you think the swamp only lives in DC? This is Trump's opening salvo. A frontal assault on DC would be counterproductive with the media "cover" they'd get. Once he's put the fear of God into the glitter people, they'll be quick to testify. Hollywood is, to use Churchill's phrase, the swamp's "soft underbelly".
I think the Board of Directors can do it since they are beholden to the shareholders. I think.
