Should make him serve the 5 years first then life. Don’t want that goldbrick loser to miss serving jail time.
First, I think there is some deal here...they will count the five years with the Taliban as part of this.
My bet is that it’s a twenty-year sentence with five taken out for credit. He does fifteen.
He was never suitable for the Army...had they just done ten minutes of research on his ‘wash-out’ from Coast Guard school, the Army would have prevented all of this episode...so I don’t give the Army a clean slate on this. This guy was never suitable for the team-work required. From what I’ve read...he’s got a behavior-level of a 14-year old kid.
What a ruse Obama when to in releasing Muslim terrorists.
Out elected showed their cowardice toward the color of a half-negro's skin rather than govern as elected to do. Beyond shameful to the American service men and women and American citizens.
What!!!???
Just last week Brian Fallon, the former spokesman for Hillary Clintons presidential campaign claimed:
Tom Price and the rest of the ever- swampy Trump WH is a permanent reminder of how honorable and scandal-free an administration Obama ran.
Bergdahl didn’t “wander away” from his base - he intentionally left his base and went in search of the Taliban.
No, he actively sought out the Taliban to join them. He was not wandering about aimlessly.
Freepers, don't let this remark go unchallenged....put up the list of Obama's out and out abuses and impeachable actions while in office......

First of all, the worthless bastard didn’t “wander away” from his unit. He left his unit, seeking some raghead military to surrender to. He expected a big welcome and a hail, hail, the gang’s all here. But they don’t like traitors, just on general principles; so they roughed him up a bit. He deserves to die. Several troops died and more were wounded while searching for his worthless butt, to rescue him.
"Corpse-men" indeed!
Desertion is bad enough but I remember when this all started, one of the military contributors on Fox said that the "Misbehavior Before the Enemy" was the big one.
The government could have asked for the death penalty for that one and the general stated that that is usually what the government asks for in these cases.
Bergdahl might have made a deal to plead guilty for removal of the death penalty.
Something happened.
0 was trying to grease the skids with that "hero" and "serving honorably" chit but IIRC, six guys died looking for this whack-job.
That sort of stuff doesn't just go away...unless you're Hillary.
We've all heard it said, time and time again, that there's a "hierarchy" among prisoners that places rapists and child molesters at the very bottom...placing them in constant danger of retribution from ordinary murderers/embezzlers/bank robbers.
I wonder if there's a similar "hierarchy" at the Disciplinary Barracks at Leavenworth which places deserters and collaborators at the bottom.
Anything short of a life sentence is too light.
I refuse to use the Fraud’s pet name for Robert Bowdrie Bergdahl.
We use all three names of the worst criminals, even when the first two are John Wayne....
Desertion in combat is less serious than misbehavior in front of the enemy? Seems like to me they should both be capital crimes. I volunteer to bring my rifle to the firing squad.
Yes, there is.
