UK: Viewers of “jihadi websites” or “far-right propaganda” to get 15 years in prison
Jihad Watch ^ | OCTOBER 7, 2017 | ROBERT SPENCER

Posted on 10/07/2017 5:15:11 PM PDT by Mr. Mojo

British authorities like to pretend that there is equal terror threat coming from both jihadis and “right-wing extremists.” That leads to a diversion of resources that could be used to fight jihadis, and the persecution of innocent people, such as the politician Paul Weston, who was arrested for publicly reading Winston Churchill’s remarks about Islam.

The really insidious aspect of this, however, is that for years, Leftist and Islamic supremacist spokesmen have been claiming that any opposition to jihad terror that involved honest discussion of its motivating ideology was “far-right propaganda.” In light of that, what Amber Rudd is essentially saying here is that if you read jihadi websites or counter-jihad websites, you could face fifteen years in prison.

The British government claims to want to fight against jihad terror, but it is most energetic in fighting against those who are actually fighting against jihad terror.

Amber Rudd: viewers of online terrorist material face 15 years in jail (the Guardian):

People who repeatedly view terrorist content online could face up to 15 years behind bars in a move designed to tighten the laws tackling radicalisation the home secretary, Amber Rudd, is to announce on Tuesday.

A new maximum penalty of 15 years’ imprisonment will also apply to terrorists who publish information about members of the armed forces, police and intelligence services for the purposes of preparing acts of terrorism.

The tightening of the law around viewing terrorist material is part of a review of the government’s counter-terrorism strategy following the increasing frequency of terrorist attacks in Britain this year.

“I want to make sure those who view despicable terrorist content online, including jihadi websites, far-right propaganda and bomb-making instructions, face the full force of the law,” said Rudd.

Where "far-right propaganda" means ....anything they say it means. Probably will include FR and many sites from which we post articles.

Communism should be outlawed alongside Nazism.

Damn commie filth praising despotic murderers and complicit in the downfall of Western civilization.

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

The UK has no Constitutional rights, a mostly unarmed citizenry, and an aggressive and intimidating terrorist cult that the authorities protect at every turn. What could possibly go wrong?

15 years for “viewing websites”? They don’t get that for rape or murder.

How sad that the British are actually Subjects, not citizens. The U.K. is gone, along with the rest of Europe. Poland and Hungary are shining examples of Resistance, and we wish them the very best in their efforts to repel these Satanic evil forces.

This is yet another case of moral equivalence, born of moral cowardice, where the powers-that-be recognized the need for curbing islamic propaganda, but were afraid to do it without also condemning a “white” movement, lest they be called “racist”. The incredibly funny thing is that the perpetrators of “far-right propaganda” in the UK are actually pro-UK, pro-British people. Imagine that: feeling the need to condemn your own loyal citizens as a counterweight to condemning your country’s worst enemies.

They don’t punish actual harmful acts, but they want to punish “reading the wrong websites.”

I understand that what people read - jihadist sites, ISIS sites, etc. - can affect actions. However, Britain doesn’t punish actions.

False moral equivalence to try to make things fair.
Can’t condemn violent fundamentalist Islam without blaming something in the West as somehow equally bad.
UKIP isn’t killing people. Muslims are doing that on a weekly basis somewhere in Europe, and that’s aside from the Muslim rape gangs across England and the acid attacks on a weekly basis in London alone.
Unfair attempts to be fair by the left.

Communism should be outlawed alongside Nazism.

Ideas (thoughts) can't be outlawed. At least not in a free country.

Thought crimes aren't crimes.

That doesn't mean that there can't be laws against incitement and the like, but simply reading subversive words can't be outlawed, except in a totalitarian State...

It might be the British Government are calling out the far right just to prevent a blow back about cracking down on the Jihadis. Think about it......It’s smart politics. The violent hard right is non-existent in western society. Sure, there are a few knuckleheads out there (unfortunately), but they can easily be handled by normal law enforcement. As a political force, the hard right is a complete non-threat.
