It is a financial center with lots of wealthy visitors doing business in the Gulf and Asia
Dubai is awesome. I've been there several times. Also enjoyed Bahrain and Oman.
Lots of places in the Middle East are clean, modern, friendly, cosmopolitan, and affordable.
