Five Huge Unanswered Questions About The Las Vegas Shooting
Daily Caller ^ | 10/5/17 | Peter Hasson

Posted on 10/05/2017 4:03:02 AM PDT by markomalley

Three days after 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on Las Vegas concertgoers late Sunday night, several huge questions remain unanswered.

WHO, if anyone, helped Paddock carry out his operation?

Clark Country Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said at a press conference Wednesday night that he assumes Paddock likely had help in carrying out his mass murder.

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to ensure that’s the answer,” Lombardo said. “Maybe he’s a super guy, super hero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”

So far, there is no publicly available evidence that Paddock had help in carrying out his plot.

If, as the sheriff believes, Paddock had help, the question remains: from whom? Paddock’s longtime girlfriend, Marilou Danley, was in the Philippines at the time of the attack. She claims to have had no knowledge of Paddock’s murderous intentions.

WHAT was Paddock planning to do with a car full of bomb-making materials?

Law enforcement officials discovered large quantities of bomb-making materials in Paddock’s car, which was parked at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Lombardo told reporters on Monday that ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound used to make homemade bombs, was found in Paddock’s car. On Wednesday, Lombardo said that law enforcement officers also found 50 pounds of Tannerite, an explosive chemical, in Paddock’s car.

It’s unclear what Paddock ultimately aimed to do with the car full of bomb-making materials.

HOW did Paddock plan to escape?

Sheriff Lombardo said Wednesday night that he has reason to believe that Paddock originally planned to remain alive or escape after carrying out the mass murder.

Paddock committed suicide after detecting an unarmed security guard outside his room.

How did he plan to escape? That question remains unanswered.

WHY did Paddock buy a room overlooking another concert the week before?

Paddock purchased a room at the Ogden Las Vegas during another music festival, Life Is Beautiful, the previous weekend.

Paddock’s room at the Ogden, like his room at the Mandalay Bay, overlooked the concert venue.

Was the Ogden room a practice run for Sunday night’s massacre? Was it a target? “We don’t know yet,” Lombardo said.

WHY?

The biggest question in the wake of the shooting: Why did he do it?

More than 72 hours after the deadliest mass shooting in American history, the public still has no answer for why Paddock did what he did.

I wish people would stop using this jerks name and refer to him as the Las Vegas d***wad. He does not deserve the notoriety just our disdain.

Erase his identity from history.

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point"

Why?

So far I haven't read or heard about anything he did that one man couldn't do on his own.

The weapons, ammo and accessories were legal and legally purchased as far as we know.

The Tannerite found in the car is legally available just about everywhere.

The shooting skills involved are easily learned and there are thousands of square miles of isolated desert nearby where he could have practiced.

Do you know the story of Herostratus? He was an ancient Greek nobody who burned down the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus (one of the Seven Wonders of the World). He did it simply so that he would be famous.

The Greek authorities were not having any of that. They decreed that the name of Herostratus was not to be spoken, not to be recorded. Herostratus would be forgotten, and no one would ever know the name of Herostratus because it was important that Herostratus not get his wish and not become famous for thousands of years.

Some Greek historian wrote it all down.

D’oh!

I believe the entire family and girlfriend are lying their little a**** off.

One brother said Stephen had no interest in guns....but I think this same brother said...."he had a couple handguns...but he kept them in a safe"....and I think this same brother said that Uncle Steve took his kids skeet shooting.

One of my friends was a professional shooter. He had a safe (Wells Frago) in his basement for his prized possessions.

The killer had a safe in his garage, the size of a refrigerator, according to a neighbor. Now you need a mover for that....check local movers....there's a safe someplace. Did the killer have a storage locker someplace?

Gun safes, even big ones, are not all that hard to move.

No, the left won’t do that.

But they want to blame Us and rewrite History for bombing Japan and starting WWII in the Pacific.

**Paddock committed suicide after detecting an unarmed security guard outside his room.**

Was Daily Caller heavy on the sarcasm here?

This is one of the most unbelievable parts of this story.

How do we know that he wasn’t killed by someone else who escaped?

We don’t.

Wasn't the Life is Beautiful concert attended by mostly liberal artsy type? Maybe he didn't want to hurt like minded but conservatives instead.

Law enforcement is clearly holding something back. The alternative is that they are incompetent boobs, which I highly doubt.

I have believed for a while that the country is in a cold civil war. I wonder if this was an attempt to make it a hot one. If we knew his motives, would it run the risk of taking us in that direction?

There are leaked pictures of the corpse. He put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. Maybe it was staged, but I think it is unlikely.

“Gun safes, even big ones, are not all that hard to move”

Gun safes like locks on houses only keep honest people honest. YouTube “breaking into a gun safe” and see for yourself.

A top of the line jewelers safe or bank safes are an entirely different animal.
