When the crowds fall 30%, which means beer sales fall 50%, the NFL will still find some excuse to explain it. Their logo should be an ostrich with its head in the sand.

Someone asked me if I was participating in the boycott of the NFL.

I had to explain, this is far worse then a boycott.

People are cancelling season tickets, will never buy again.

People are burning jerseys, will never wear again.

People are not tuning in to TV, will never watch again.

NFL = No Fans Left.

Trump did the right thing. He called out the NFL. Their commissioner took the side of the players.

We are done here!!

“The ratings were dropping even before this nonsense”

Players were kneeling at the start of the year which was having an effect on ratings. This just went into overdrive when Trump called them out.

Cowboys games are still doing well. Fox ratings went up due to that game. Everything else seemed to go down this week.

That takes general NFL viewing down to the point of being "event" TV. Not good for the league in general, where the viewing numbers rely on games being broadcast like background music; kind of like CNN in airports.

All of this is interesting noise, until the numbers start getting released for 2018 ticket sales, and/or another major contract bid comes out, such as Monday night football switching from ABC to ESPN.

Something the NFL sadly forgot: do they realize most of their fan base in politically Conservative?

No wonder the TV ratings are going downhill.

17-week season starts at 16.3 million viewers and dropping a million a week. That’s one trend that can’t continue forever.

After then kneel, show 30 minutes of videos of black criminals telling us how bad the police are, take a crap on the American flag... maybe they can demand all the ‘fans’ stand, hold hands and sing Kumbaya...

I doubt they would have the courage to apologize directly, without a lot of double-talk and trying to appease leftists along the way.

Exactly. A boycott implies there will be a return to normalcy once this either blows over or some changes occur. The NFL did permanent damage to itself not some wound which will heal in time. It’s a business axiom that it’s very hard to win back a lost customer who has left and gone elsewhere. The time to right things is at the immediate moment when a problem crops up.

Ratings are like to dip again this week as bye weeks begin to occur for 4 teams, effectively 2 total games off the tv schedule. No telling how much of any potential dip will be attributable to the televised bye in 4 tv markets.

I wonder if the NFL banned kneeling and issued an apology would their ratings go back up?

Forget the apology, just force the resignation of or fire the Commissioner.

An NFL spokesman, Brian McCarthy, said there was no indication that the boycott had any impact, both on television and in the stands.

That alright Spokesman McCarthy. If you don't want to believe reality when it smacks you in the face, maybe you'll believe the bottom line when it bites you in the butt!

It’s amazing that the NFL STILL refuses to at least ACKNOWLEDGE that they are actively offending millions of people, however, let one TRANNY complain and they immediately bend over to accommodate them....pun intended.
