Russia and Turkey confirm the decision to politically resolve the conflict with Syria. The conditions for stopping the fratricidal war have already been set up in the country. Vladimir Putin said that after meeting with Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The meeting took place in Ankara for 3 hours, behind closed doors. Afterwards, the leaders made short statements.

Nevertheless, happy to see ISIS is finished and only mop up operations are left.
While I do think ISIS has been depantsed in Iraq/Syria, I’m not convinced that is what this is about.
al Qaeda and home-grown insurgents are the real problem in Syria these days, for the government.
Last I heard they were fairing rather well there.
Has that turned around, so that the Syrian government has a rocks-solid position.
Several months ago, prospects for the government didn’t look so good.
Is it in a position to negotiate from strength now?
The call for setting up the process of improving life, and returning refugees to Syria sure sounds good.
Hopefully we could dump some folks back home...
Have Juan McAmnasty’s Islamics been defeated?
We’ve heard that before. I’ve got a friend heading back to Afghanistan for some of that mop-up.
I’d be surprised to hear they have been defeated, but I haven’t followed the on the ground activity either.
How the guy could sign on to fund al Qaeda is beyond me.
“You get this oil field, and you get this one, and you get access to here, and you get control over here, and...”
What a mess.
Without Turkish support, the jihadis in Syria are doomed.
The most likely things for which Erdogan would sell them out are to screw the Kurds in Syria, or to keep the territory they have seized, to screw the Kurds from reuniting with Afrin.
As soon as this is verified, it’s time to send Syrian refugees back to their own country so their critical skills and work ethic can contribute to rebuilding Syria.
Isn’t this the same Putin who told us that ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi was killed?
Good. Bring our troops home.
Sobbing in his ice tea.
Great exit plan -- doesn't want to retreat under fire and make a run for it. Thanks Enlightened1.
