Maybe Krugman was talking about himself. Every since Trump won Krugman has had a bad case of cholera of the mouth.

Journalists who deliberately and repeatedly lie should be banned from the profession.
I believe in free speech, but when it comes to claims like this which are clearly untrue, it would seem to me the government would have a duty to prosecute for misleading the public.
In the case of a disaster situation, it could cause panic and harm to those living in the disaster region.
When the only motivating factor would be political, it’s simply not in the nation’s interest to allow this type of thing.
Under certain circumstances, I don’t think a fine would be enough either. They should serve prison time.

If we would have had our military base there in PR we would have a foot hold for operations. The government controls it all, the southwest side is totally obliterated, the mayor claims the airport is to congested with flights coming in and out yet there were only 10 flight in one day and no night flights because someone stole the generator for the runway lights.
