Sorry, clips are for paper, not used with firearms.

Ps. My Garand takes clips. Mausers and 03 springfield use clips.

That is wrong, of course. What weapon was butt-breath using for his murder spree?

Female CNN opinionista says shots were “sniper style” and CNN reporter claims since the shooter had no record he would have not had a problem obtaining the FULLY AUTOMATIC weapons (!?!). Where do they get these people?

Don't be pedantic. 99% of America calls these things "clips". Magazines are in the check-out stand.

Repeat after me: Clips feed magazines, magazines feed guns.
The Garand did not use a clip like a magazine, it used the clip to feed an integrated magazine.

Are there any guns that use clips as magazines like the M1 Garand?

What you are asking about is what are known as ‘en bloc’ clips.

They are essentially a cross between a magazine and a clip.

A magazine holds the cartridges and feeds them with a spring loaded follower. A clip merely holds several cartridges together by the rim or extraction groove, and never enters the rifle’s magazine with the cartridges. En en block clip does hold its cartridges, but serves as the walls of the magazine within a rifle that uses them. The spring and follower are part of the rifle itself, unlike those that use a detachable box magazine. Rifles that use the en-bloc clip will only function as a single shot if you have no clip(s) and the clip, which came out of the ammunition crate pre-loaded with cartridges, is meant to be a disposable item that is ejected or released from the rifle when empty. Civilian users of these rifles have to find clips, load cartridges into them themselves, then try to save the clips for reuse. Soldiers never worried about any of that!

Actually clips are used with guns as I’m sure you are aware of that. I use clips to load my magazines. However the press doesn’t know the difference.

Sorry. You've already been dumped on. Don't mean to rub it in.

Reporter was using clips when they meant mags here though.
