What security? He was a hotel guest, if you think Vegas hotel security will start searching ever hotel guests bag you don’t know much about Vegas. Big events like this are normal here, they aren’t going to “lock down” the hotel everytime.
Also, police found multiple weapons which explains the different sounds. AR or AK is not hard to make full auto or just use a bump fire stock.

Amazing that considering I live in Israel, the absolute worst terror attack we’ve ever had here is 37 from the Coastal Road Massacre in the 1970’s...and that was basically a commando infiltration by sea to Lebanon.
Yet in the past 2 years alone we’ve had 2 50+ massacres in the US. 1 Islamic, 1 apparently not.
It’s not so much the country as it is the people who think so much of themselves that they believe the violent crimes they’re about to commit will be pleasing to their god and good for the world as a whole. They’re so sure of themselves that they volunteer their service for a suicide mission as a grand noble gesture. These things happen everywhere nowadays and the USA itself is not to blame. This kind of terrorism is not cultivated by our society. It is being borrowed from traditional Islamic extremists elsewhere in the world. No good citizens knowingly grow it in their gardens at home in America.
The left and islam share a common goal, the destruction of western civilization.

America should be 40 times more likely to have such an event as Israel, just based on population.
My point is that people who attend these events -- and those who organize them -- are going to begin expecting this type of security, which is why events like this are going to disappear.

One would hope (though it doesn’t matter now) that the shooter was some kind of nut with an ideology or cause as a reason for going berserk but sometimes it all boils down to not being properly potty trained as a small child...
