The same public officials who allowed Puerto Rico to spend themselves into bankruptcy and allow their infrastructure to deteriorate into ruin are the “first responders”. Is it any wonder they are corrupt, incompetent and derelict in the responsibilities. They are being directed by the same political machine that is subverting the presidency of President Trump, sacrificing the people of Puerto Rico for a political agenda.

Yep the Teamsters are claiming it’s a safety issue of Trucks being attacked.
However, we all know it’s the Teamsters attacking their own trucks.
Make no mistake the DNC is trying to exploit this emergency for political gain.
I’ve seen this report posted a few times here today, but not a single article linked back to a mainstream press outfit.
If this had happened while Obama was in office, it would be front page news, and the entire MSM would be condemning the Puerto Rican government with fire and venom.
But, because a Republican is in the White House, they’re burying the story to make him look bad.

I read an article today that said the containers sitting and even what is on ships that has not been brought in yet are a mix of random items donated and products to restock stores.
I can understand them waiting to distribute the random items- they know exactly what is in the FEMA containers and know it will be things needed now. I am sure they will get the random items delivered soon and be restocking stores too, but likely some of the stores will not be ready if they had serious damage.
Liberals act like this should all be done presto like waving a magic wand. Insanity. It would have helped if there was local organization to work with, would have been able to help people much sooner.

I wonder if a factor in the reluctance to drive is the suspicion truck drivers might have about what will happen to their cargo when they get into lawless rural areas.
They might fear physical attacks or loss of cargo being blamed on them and no pay.
Maybe armed military or police escorts would solve this part of the problem.
Couple heads of the puerto rican teamsters ought be hanged at the docks and left to rot as a reminder.
Longshoreman’s union won’t let volunteers do the distribution, maybe?
