Bombshell: Insider Drops Bomb on AG Jeff Sessions –He Refuses to Prosecute Obama and Clinton Crimes
The Gateway Pundit ^ | October 1, 2017 | Joe Hoft

Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:

(snip)

Judge Janine: Ok, why is he not being charged with a crime?

Chaffetz: I can tell you that while I was in Congress and the Chairman of the Oversight Committee, I did go over and visit with Attorney General Sessions and it was one of the most frustrating discussions I had because whether it was the IRS, Fast and Furious, the email scandal that we went through, I did not see the Attorney General willing to just let Lady Justice administer justice and then follow through. I understood maybe the last six months of the Obama Administration…

Judge Janine: Wait a minute I don’t have that much time. You spoke with Sessions on IRS, Fast and Furious. Did he give you a reason? Did he say he was presenting anything to a grand jury? Yes or no?

Chaffetz: No, he basically let me know he wasn’t going to pursue anything on the major cases.

Judge Janine: So IRS, on the major cases? Are we talking about Hillary Clinton, because I haven’t even gotten to her yet.

Chaffetz: Yes, the email scandal of Hillary Clinton. We had Bryan Pagliano. I issued a subpoena for him to appear before the Committee and he said “No”. He didn’t even show up. We issued another subpoena. The US Marshals served it. And you know in my world, if you’re in court, I guarantee you that a subpoena is not an optional activity. We wanted the Attorney General to prosecute him and he said “No”.

I’m done with Sessions. He should just resign and get it over with.

In the case of cabinet appointments...doesn't the President get an undated letter of resignation to keep in the bottom drawer for such cases....?

Finally someone points out the obvious. Sessions is just a cover for Trump. So, the real question is: why doesn't Trump want to prosecute members of the prior administration?

To answer that question, you need to think strategically. First and foremost is Nov 2018. Trump needs a clean sweep to deliver a knock out punch. If he can accomplish that, the resulting legislative action will represent a cultural turning point lasting generations.

I mean, forget Ocare repeal, tax reform and the wall; those will all be dunk shots. Rather, we're talking stacking the SC to the point that RvW might be overturned; reform of the court system including some impeachments, national concealed carry; maybe even term limits.

Now, if that's your goal, how do you accomplish it? Well, you need to take stock of your assets. How far left can you move without pissing off your core support? Will anyone actually *not* vote Trump candidates if he doesn't prosecute? That's his calculus.

The opposing analysis considers prosecution. This would provide a LOT of ammunition for the left, especially since they control the MSM. Does anyone want to see 24/7 screaming headlines about political persecution/prisoners? You think the cry of nazi is loud right now? No - so why give them that hammer?

It sucks that criminals get to go free. OTOH, if you're an astute member of the prog-libs, you probably understand exactly what Trump is doing. He is using them strategically - you almost have to wonder if they secretly wish their Kenyan imposter *would* be prosecuted knowing the fallout that would resist.

Gowdy was a federal prosecutor who didn’t lose a single case. He is overly qualified for the position and would be a putbull. This “show” you speak of was him doing his job as a Congressman taking his case to the public to apply pressure to the AG to prosecute. He did exactly what was allowed to him under the Constitution. He isn’t Judge Dredd

Yes, I remember “impeach” being brought up. They have tied Trump’s hands...for now.

I bet developing big real estate in the swamp of NYC was easy compared to dealing with the snakes in D.C.

He isn’t a quisling he was a successful federal prosecutor who also did his job under the constitution as a Congressman. Some have this orgasmic fantasy that he was bestowed with the powers of Judge Dredd

A lot of folks have no idea what they are witnessing.

Even the sports Establishment is crashing down. That’s entertainment. :)

Don’t know why this is a “bombshell.”

I reported here in January that Bannon said Trump woyldn’t go after Cankles and again in August that he daid they wouldn’t. “That looks like Banana Republic stuff to criminally go after the loser in an election.”

He doesn't want to be prosecuted when he leaves office.

There is not a blind Lady Justice......one for the oligarch and one for the rest of us.

The replacement is Rosenstein who has already stepped aside to let Mueller call the shots.

You have to agree this was a masterstroke by the incumbent establishment to keep control of the prosecution and to maintain a threat of Trump impeachment by holding obstruction of justice over his head.

Trump was said to have gone ballistic months ago when it dawned on him that his own prosecutors were under control of his enemies because Sessions had recused himself. Trump was confirmed to have said in the press that had he known Sessions would recuse himself, he would never had offered him the job.

In my view, Sessions has destroyed the image of respectability and integrity that so many here on FR and among conservatives nationwide had of him. If he had integrity, he should never have accepted the job and burdened our President with such baggage that caused him to recuse himself. He must have done it deliberately or stupidly. Either way, he’s not fit for the office and he has done great damage.

I now believe that sessions has been a plant within the trump campaign from day one. I think he was suppose to get the goods on trump if it looked like trump was going to win. trump surprised everyone and won so the secondary plan was to maneuver trump into putting sessions into the attorney general position.

> “Onr billion percent true.”

One billion percent false.

Trump was snookered and has messaged on several occasions that had he known Sessions would recuse himself, he would never have offered him the job.

Trump cannot prosecute anything now concerning the establishment conspiracy against him. Mueller is threatening to indict Trump any moment over ‘obstruction of justice’.

The outcome of this will be seen in the midterms. This is why the Moore-Strange showdown was such a big deal as it is predictive of what will happen in the midterms.

If the incumbency machine is shaken enough in the 2018 midterms, we may see the President get the chance to replace Sessions, Rosenstein and fire Mueller.

Rachel Brand is waiting in the wings and she looks good for Trump.

http://heavy.com/news/2017/06/rachel-brand-doj-attorney-bio-trump-russia-probe

But the lesson is that the President needs badly to have people that can heavily vet his picks for DOJ and FBI so that this crap won’t happen again.

Jeff Sessions is a great guy who is making some bad decisions. He is not a plant and not working for the other side. Having said that, he needs to be replaced by someone more aggressive on both immigration & political crimes. Which means he won't be replaced because if you put an aggressive guy like Chis Christy in as AG he will let the immigration and border control go in favor of political crimes. There is no winning in our political system. Only degrees of suck.

Put a RINO in as AG and kiss immigration enforcement goodbye.
