What Democrats Don’t Understand: Why Blue Collar Voters Are Fleeing the Party
NY Observer ^ | Peter Ferrara

Posted on 10/01/2017 5:13:16 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Hillary Clinton wrote a whole book entitled What Happened, which purports to explain why she lost the 2016 election to political newcomer Donald Trump. Instead, she inadvertently revealed that she doesn’t know what happened or why.

And neither does any other active Democrat. They are all missing the biggest clue as to what happened.

*snip*

This is all due to a single, fundamental problem: Democrats will not admit they are wrong on any issue, but a majority of Americans increasingly think they are wrong on every issue, from taxes, to government spending, deficits and debt, to global warming, to economic growth and prosperity, gun control, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, national defense, and even whether little girls should use the girls bathroom (and showers) and little boys should use the boy’s room (and showers).

Democrats, like JFK, used to know that they cannot run on economic stagnation, high taxes, gun control, weak national defense, and against the Bill of Rights. You would never have seen Kennedy running on a claim that if elected, thousands of coal miners would lose their jobs, as Hillary did.

Democrats have lost sight of the American Dream and have no idea how to get it back. Crucially, they don’t understand that the economy never really recovered from the very steep 2008-09 recession.

Democrats have doubled down in an political suicide mission, moving to the extreme Left by embracing soft Socialism.

That's not it at all.

The problem for the Democrats is that they embraced identity politics as their main issue, and white voters have caught on to the fact that the Democrat party has targeted them as public enemy # 1.

The Democrats were overthrown by a Communist named Obama.

White collar tech is fleeing as they begin to see technical positions being filled with foreign replacement workers on shore. This has to stop! They are crushing our salaries.

The demoncraps only represent sex perverts (fags, lesbos, transfreaks, pedos), hardcore marxists, black racists, and muzz slimes.

No normal American wants any part of that.

Trump needs to hammer this. We know the GOPe won't - Schumer - You are wrong, you are wrong on every issue, you just want to obstruct. Mitch, you are about the same.

——a majority of Americans increasingly think -—

The majority of Americans live in the Blue counties. Hillary won the popular vote in those counties.

There is a democrat majority albeit slim. The US Senate is the measure.

Good. Let’s make sure they never figure it out.

(One of the problems) for Democrats is that they've embraced identity politics as their main issue..... white voters have caught on to the fact that the Democrat party has targeted them as public enemy # 1.

Nails it......and let's consider that ardent life-long Democrats are questioning whether they want to belong to the noxious party of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

And do not forget the malefactor of great wealth in the background, George Soros, who has amassed just about all his fortune from stock market and currency manipulations almost everywhere around the world, and is under criminal indictment in several countries. He has owned the Democrat party lock, stock and rain barrel, since the rise of the Clintons in 1992 and subsequent years, even getting his own people into state governments in the office of Secretary of State of the various states, where statewide vote totals are tallied up and reported. Fraud, claimed to be “non-existent” by the official Democrat talking points, is in fact widespread and endemic in several states.

Why does George Soros still have US citizenship? Why is not his entire family in exile?

This is indeed a key point. Most of us at Free Republic are old enough to have seen what a real recovery from a recession looks like. This hasn’t looked like one, despite all the boosterism from the Democrats/Obama lovers on the subject.

With Trump, we’re starting to see the actions that will lead to a proper recovery, with his efforts to slash governmental regulations. This was amazingly effective under Reagan.

The Dems have decided to become the party of minorities and immigrants, legal and illegal. They see the rapidly changing demographics of the country fueled by mass immigration as key to becoming the permanent majority party. They may be right given that the Dems have won the popular vote in 6 out of the last 7 Presidential elections.

But the worst is yet to come. Wait until the 2018 elections, when 25 Senate Democrats are up for reelection, which is over half of Democratic Senators who have managed to hold onto their seats.

But instead of realizing the problem and correcting it, Democrats have doubled down in an political suicide mission, moving to the extreme Left by embracing soft Socialism. It is only Democrats that don’t know that the whole point of the 20th century was that the Socialism they are embracing was thoroughly tried, and it failed miserably. This Socialist extremism has never played well among blue collar voters.

Some Democrats believe they lost because they were not more to the left.

I hope they never wake up

Non-Hispanic whites were 89% of the population in 1970; today they are 63%; and by 2043 they will be 50%. Since 1990 we have brought in 35 million LEGAL permanent immigrants, 87% of whom are minorities as classified by the USG. This is equivalent to the current population of Canada. Immigrants and minorities vote more than two to one Dem.

Each year we bring in 1.1 million LEGAL permanent Immigrants, which amounts to hundreds of thousands of future Dem voters annually.
