They should have fired Colin Kaepernick and anyone who supported him, immediately last year and set the standard.
I should state that I haven't followed football for years.
I just know how this would have affected my behavior if I had.

More broadly, I see it as confirmation these folks think there is major racism in this nation, and that Blacks are being harmed by it.
As a person who has literally dedicated myself my whole life since childhood to be as kind and considerate to Blacks as I could possibly be, it is infuriating to see someone take it on faith that I haven’t.
It’s a massive insult to me. I don’t take it lightly.
I grew up 1 mile from the George Washington Carver farm just West of Diamond Grove, Missouri. My trips over there as a child learning about the negro plight, caused me to form an early opinion in life, that all humans should be judged by their own actions.
There’s not a racist bone in my body, and the inference that their is, really angers me.
Did the Steelers have a lesson in Civics or Business?

You know EVERY team will have at least one guy, “that guy”, that won’t comply. Not realizing he’s going to take everyone down with him.
Seems to be a common theme with most teams and players now.
It would seem that word came down from ON HIGH that ‘you had your protests, now get back to football — we are all losing money!’
It would be nice if they knew why we sing the anthem,put our hand on our heart and feel pride. I have no compulsion to force anyone to do this if they really feel otherwise but respect is greatly appreciated. I am not always happy with our country but there is no other country in the world in which to be unhappy with the ability to help change the country for the better. Acting like children does not come close to doing that.
