The Taliban terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for an attack directed at Secretary of Defense James Mattis who was making an unscheduled visit to Afghanistan. No casualties were reported at Kabul International Airport on Wednesday morning in the wake of the attack. Mattis had left before the shooting began.
Locals said that two missiles were fired at the airport at approximately 11:00 a.m. local time. The American embassy in Kabul warned that the attack may have yet to end. "At about 11.36 am two missiles were fired on Kabul International Airport from Deh Sabz district, damaging the air force hangers and destroying one helicopter and damaging three other helicopters, but there were no casualties, said airport chief Yaqub Rassouli according to USA Today.
The Islamic State (ISIS ) also sought to claim authorship of the attack.

He connects a lot of evidence to show how all the leaks and security problems in Congress associated with the Awan Group can pass 'exfiltrate' sensitive information such as Mattis's secret visit to Afghanistan to give terrorists a heads up of who and what's coming.
In the past, he has presented compelling evidence that the Awans were also involved in passing secrets to Yemen which resulted in Navy Seals being ambushed.
I believe him.
Hours too late, and Mattis nowhere in range, why did Tally’s Band spend all that ordinance?
Were they trying to prevent his departure, trying to destroy the runway?
LMAO Damn 2DV,
:)
I expect that General Mattis takes absolutely nothing for granted, that he plans his moves as if there are leaks, and changes them at will to thwart any would-be assassins.
Hillary: "Big deal, did I ever mention the time I had to dodge sniper fire on the tarmac?"
Why knot zer0 out the poppy fields for a year or two or three?
His title should be returned to the original Sec. of War that was changed after WWII to Sec. of Defense.
“........The Taliban terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for an attack directed at Secretary of Defense James Mattis who was making an unscheduled visit to Afghanistan.”
That right there (”unscheduled”)says someone with access to inside information set him up. Otherwise...........
PING TO #1
IMHO, this was an inside job, leaked info and very well could be from sources as said. Why is there always an assumption by some that WE do not plan for such instances. It is military SOP never to do the same thing twice in a combat zone OR stick to published time schedules because of this very thing. It has NEVER been that the enemy is smarter and we are stupid.

Ummm woooooooooooooooooowwwwww.
That, is a meme.
Other reports have said rockets which I agree is more likely.
It is almost like the Democratic side of the aisle want us to lose. Oh wait, they are made up of communists and Islamic fundamentalists who want to see the US bought to it's knees.
The swamp doesn't need to be drained, it needs to be arrested, tried, convicted and hanged by the neck until dead.
Yep.
You are 100% correct. Military generals such as General Mattis operate as if the enemy is inside and listening.
General George Washington was no different. In fact, he knew who the spies were and allowed them to operate so that he could feed them false information.
Why did they do it? To make a point, I suppose. They think Mattis thinks like them.
