BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — At an event at the Birmingham International Airport on Monday, Vice President Mike Pence echoed President Donald Trump’s comments regarding the national anthem protests. Friday, the president spoke out against athletes who refuse to stand for the national anthem, calling on NFL owners to fire them.

Pence added to Trump’s criticism at the rally Monday for Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL), saying he does not think it is “too much to ask” for NFL players to stand for the anthem. The reason being, he explained, was that it is about “respect” for the flag, country and those who fought and died for the country.

Better, do the flyover and as the aircraft approach the stadium, immediately the formation turns around and leaves, or splits and bypasses the stadium on either side.

“players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag”

That’s the money shot, right there. Good work FRiend!

He’re the deeper question - what is it that Trump is sliding in under the radar while he has everyone distracted with the NFL protests?

I just tried to find it in the NFL rule book.
Crickable Rink prease?
(Though you would think the NFL wouldn’t have to put this in writing.)

Are you being sarcastic?

No, I am not afraid of protests, don’t agree with this one 100% and wish the Cowboys had not done it but a lot of people have died to protect that right and many here are arguing against the right to protest and the hyperbolic hyperbole is laughable

They have the right to protest.

They don’t have the right to be free from financial damage or loss of esteem as a result of their protest.

That is exactly what this whole charade is about, they chose the wrong side on the fake issue of police violence against “minorities”. (One might ask why the Police have not been shooting down eastern minorities, but that would beg the question as what is the underlying cause for the actions to begin with.)

We have had now about 70 years of a 13% minority extorting money and court rulings from the rest. You don’t want police involved in your crimes, fine. No police for you but you must stay in your little fiefdoms and provide your own security. Give some rap groups some AKs and some decent cars for drive bys to keep the rest in line.
Schools? Obviously you don’t need any because they only teach western european history and culture. Unhappy with your lot: no problem again, one way forever travel can be arranged back to your native lands...bring weapons, you will need them. Sounds to me like social justice for me and it works.

As for the limousine liberal sports franchise owning people like the Rooneys, Cuban, et als, I hope you all go bankrupt.

The issue is, what exactly are they kneeling about in the first place?

I believe kneeling is the same as sagging. It is in your face disrespect because of your race.

Not from the rulebook, which is public, but from a game operations manual, which is not.

Since the NFL decided to become political (and were even involved previously in bathroom issues in those states where they don't live), they should lose their special tax privileges.

They're kneeling to show their subservience to Soros.

And by the way, I agree they have the right to protest. As I have the right to protest the protests. And the right to not pay them to protest.

They have the right, I don’t agree with them but that is what freedom of speech is.
If I was boss - protest while working for me, you have a choice do you want NY Jets or SF 49ers, the two worst teams in the league, and then send them to the other one.
